We recently connected with Michelle Boulden-Hammond and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Michelle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Well I have been singing since the age of five. In school I was in several musical glee clubs, choral clubs, and theatre plays. Then as an adult I song and led praise and worship in the church. However during the pandemic I was turning 50..I decided that I wanted to follow my dreams and record a song. It happened suddenly the benefit was that I had a poem that I turned into my first single. I now have advanced with songwriting and producing my own music.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I want people to know that I am a built message of inspiration. Secondly I am living example that God answers prayers. You see that as a baby I was born with a birth defect however I was not supposed to walk. The enemy came to destroy my future but he did not win. I love writing and giving words of encouragement and seeing others transformed through my messages of inspirations.. I’m just an ordinary person spreading messages of love hope and peace….followers are okay but if only one is transformed thats okay by me..
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect for me is seeing those that I inspire reflect that they at one point was broken but through listening to my voice instantaneously things change atmosphere.. I have a meditation affirmation song and one time I performed a spectator from the crowd came to me after the show”She states that when she came she was feeling anxiety but after listening to the song she felt a weight lift off of her. Now that’s powerful..

Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
I will say that if you don’t have an open mind for creativity you are totally missing out on insightful moments that may can help you in your journey of life.. We are created to create and spread tranquility to help someone who may be struggling. I look at this viewpoint God or if you have a higher power or whomever you believe in gives you a gift..The gift is not for you it is to give away. Someone is waiting on your gift.
