We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Michele Nicole Pino Nuno and Danelle Berta Pino.
Michele and Danelle, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
The most meaningful project we’ve worked on was when we collaborated with Mercedes-Benz on South Beach for FTX Off the Grid. We had Frankie Zombie create his live art installation with the unique concept of tape art using a Mercedes G-Class as his canvas! It was an honor to be able to work with such an esteemed car manufacturer for one of the biggest automobile events in the world.
Another big project we are working on is creating a non-profit using art therapy for stroke patients. Strokes are very common, in fact, they are the leading cause of disability in the US and the fifth leading cause of death. Research shows that art can increase memory and improve all-over cognitive functioning. After a stroke, art therapy can be extremely beneficial because fine motor activities can help improve hand and finger mobility. Monthly workshops will take place at WYN 317 Gallery. Each month an artist volunteer will develop an art project. Stroke survivors, at all levels of recovery, and their caretakers will be invited to experience making art while also sharing their stories. They will find that art stimulates their senses and cultivates a safe environment of self exploration, self-expression and imagination.
We grew up watching our father, Raul Fabio Pino, paint every day in the Florida room and going to his art exhibits. He loved art so much that even after suffering a massive stroke that left him paralyzed on his dominant side he continued to find ways to get color on canvas. This is why this project is so special and meaningful to us.

Michele Nicole and Danelle Berta, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Michele Nicole Pino Nuno is a Miami attorney, notary public, assistant gallery director and curator. Michele graduated from Florida International University upon receiving her Bachelor in Arts degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. She became an active member of the Florida Bar after receiving her Juris Doctorate from St. Thomas University School of Law. In 2013 while serving as an Assistant Regional Counsel representing indigent parents in dependency court her sister, Danelle Pino, opened WYN 317 Gallery in Wynwood. Shortly thereafter, Michele left her government job to focus on WYN 317. Since then, she oversees the gallery’s legal and business operation. In addition to her professional training and experience, Michele enjoys giving back to the community as a member of the Junior League of Miami. She served as their Vice President of Communications, chaired Therapy Dogs, and was on the Women who Make a Difference and Camillus House committees.
Danelle Berta Pino is a gallery director and curator. Danelle graduated from Florida International University upon receiving her Bachelor in Arts degree in Liberal Studies with a minor in Business. She also earned a Certificate in Law, Ethics and Society. With one semester left of nursing school at the University of Miami Danelle decided to instead pursue her original passion for the arts and open WYN 317 Gallery. Danelle loves empowering women and changing the world. Serving as a Board member of Indego Africa Miami Regional Board gave her the opportunity to be the face and voice of women-owned businesses in Africa.
Opened in 2013 by sisters Danelle and Michele Pino, WYN 317 is a gallery designed to spotlight Miami’s unique urban landscape by providing a local’s touch. It’s an authentic space where fresh, up-and-coming, mid-career, and established native and international artists intersect with local legends. Highlighting aesthetics ranging from the area’s graffiti culture to a wide array of vibrant pop art influences, this exhibition and event venue takes pride in delivering art cultivated in Miami neighborhoods. WYN 317 provides a perspective that keeps you connected to the community.
We’re open Tuesday-Saturday 11am-6pm and by appointment at other times. Clients can shop online at wyn317.com. We ship art and merchandise worldwide.
We’re known for giving support to the artists and the community by offering additional services such as framing, art installation and finding commissions for specific works including murals at residences and businesses.
We give a lot of artists their first solo exhibitions and often offer artist residencies where they can stay and work on their craft in an apartment above our gallery.
Children are always welcome at our opening receptions, artist talks, workshops and movie screenings.
We are most proud that we’ve created a family friendly space where people from all walks of life come together, learn about and enjoy art, and interact with artists.
We’d like to take this opportunity to invite everyone to see ‘Layers’, a solo exhibition, featuring Tragek. ‘Layers’ opens on Saturday, August 10th, from 6-10PM. WYN 317 Gallery is located at 4320 NW 2 AVE, Miami, FL 33127.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
1. Be active on your target audience’s favorite platforms
Different segments of your audience may be active on different social media sites and may expect a different relationship on each. This means you need to optimize your content for each platform.
2. Create a consistent posting schedule
This encourages followers to seek out your new content on your profile if the algorithm doesn’t serve it up in their feed.
3. Post short video
This is the type of content that’s most likely to reach people who don’t already follow you.
4. Embrace social SEO
Search engine optimization is all about keyword research, captions, and effective alt text to help the search features built into each social platform understand what your content is about.
5. Engage with your audience
Your audience wants to interact with you, the brand/creator behind the content.
6. Get inspired by established accounts in your niche
Engage with popular accounts that already reach your target audience by liking their content and leaving supportive comments.
7. Work with content creators
Collaborate with relevant content creators to piggyback on their established audience. Hashtags and keyword searches are a good starting point.
8. Maximize your profile and bio
Your profile and bio tell potential new viewers who you are, what you’re all about, and why they should follow you. Your profile and bio are full of opportunities to guide people to your account in the first place.
9. Develop a strong brand identity
It’s important that your content is easily identifiable when it lands in people’s feeds. It’s easier for followers to spot your posts among all the sponsored and suggested content when you deliver a consistent look and feel that supports your brand identity.
10. Experiment with social ads
Put some budget behind organic posts that are already performing well for your desired growth goals.
