We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Michele Nichols. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Michele below.
Michele, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. One of the toughest things about entrepreneurship is that there is almost always unexpected problems that come up – problems that you often can’t read about in advance, can’t prepare for, etc. Have you had such and experience and if so, can you tell us the story of one of those unexpected problems you’ve encountered?
Bombchele Hair lab was founded in August 2015 in the state of Alabama. I managed to build a large clientele from ground up servicing many guests over the years. In 2020 during the pandemic salons were forced to close. During this transition I decided to relocate to Georgia. Unfortunately this meant I would leave some of my dearest clients and have to start completely over . I was fortunate to have some clients travel to be serviced ,but I would still have to build new clientele and relationships in Georgia. The unexpected issues I would say arose were being completely unaware of how competitive it is in Georgia. There is truly a ton of talent here. Another issue I would say is how I built a clientele in 2015 is completely different from all of the networking and marketing you have to do today to build in a new city. From IG reels to TikTok videos etc. I learned from that experience and quickly hopped on board. It can be discouraging as you run a business in a new place but if it’s a true passion, that alone will be enough ambition to do the hard work. Be consistent and never give up and that will always take you far.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Bombchele Hair Lab is an upscale based salon suite with a spa-like ambiance, amazing views and immaculate customer service that you’ll love.
Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing a clientele would be marketing and networking. The actual act of going out to meet people in person, telling them what it is that you do or services you offer. Asking them to follow you on social platforms
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients for me has been word of mouth. I believe this method will always outperform any other sources
