We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Michael Tubbs. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Michael below.
Michael, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Well, my mission started along time ago when I was a kid and I knew that Father God had something special for to do,I just didn’t know what it was. My overwhelming passion to always want to help people propelled me into running my own credit repair company and my non profit organization.
I can say that in my time of running both businesses, that i’ve been able to help countless people to achieve their goal of homeownership, having a better understanding of credit and being able to gain resources to help their day to day lives.
We’re far from our goal, which is to be a global entity, but the future looks very bright from where I stand.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
No problem at all.
For starters Father God is the head of my life. My name is Michael Tubbs, i’m 36 years old and i’m from Ypsilanti,Michigan. I’m the CEO of Elite Quality Plus, an accredited and decorated credit restoration company, which was a recipient of the Black Excellence Impact Community Award presented by Washtenaw Community College back in February of this year.
I’m also the CEO of Real Agape, a non profit organization that focus to ameliorate barriers so individuals in lower socioeconomic environments can be provided the resources, programs and opportunities to thrive in life.
Outside of loving Father God, my greatest joy is being the dad of a 10 year old queen in training name Brielle, who is my absolute bestfriend in life forever. She is my WHY and she is the reason why I go hard the way that I do.
Before I hoped into the entrepreneurial world, I went to a trade school and obtained my A&P certification(Airframe and Powerplant) to work on aircrafts for a better part of some years. This career allowed me to travel domestic and abroad working on airplanes and seeing parts of the world that I never seen before. It was indeed an exciting career, but I knew that Father God had more for me.
I can tell you this and this is the honest truth, walking away and betting on myself was one of the best decisions i’ve ever done. Doing that allowed me to focus on my dreams while being able to help people at the same time. It was a win across the board.
Between my passion for helping people and the knowledge that i’ve obtained in the financial literacy space, my clients can rest assure knowing that they have someone that’s going to work on their behave to place them in a better space in life. Rather that’s moving into a new home or helping them to obtain resources to go back to school so they can obtain their GED or in some cases their college degree.
Real Agape and Elite Quality Plus will continue to work hand in hand in being valuable assets to those in the community who requires assistance.

Can you open up about how you funded your business?
I can remember like it was yesterday. When I first got into this entrepreneurial space, I just knew that I was going to get clients super easy because everyone liked Mike…the devil is a lie indeed. I struggled to get clients and when I no longer had those checks coming in and when things started drying up I knew I had to do something.
The money that I did have left I did something crazy, which was probably the best business decision that I made to this day….I paid for a mentor. This highly qualified individual allowed me to really understand how credit works and how I could take my good credit and leverage it to make it work for me. After I gained that invaluable information the rest was a wrap.
I was able to fund my business by leveraging my good credit, while scaling my business at the same time. This is exactly what I was waiting for, but it wouldn’t happen if I wouldn’t bet on my self. Moral of the story, always bet on yourself even when it doesn’t always make senses.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
Man it’s an uncomfortable one, but I had to unlearn everything that I was taught about credit. Not to say that I was taught the most extensive things about credit, but the things that I was taught I found out later to be complete hogwash.
I had to find out the hard way, that the people that were telling me about credit, actually had no real knowledge of credit whatsoever. So I sought out to find out the truth for myself and what I found out would forever change the landscape of my life as I know it.
With the knowledge that i’ve obtained, i’ve been able to start a successful credit repair business, help hundreds of individuals to fix their credit, purchase a home and change the trajectory of their families views of credit forever. To glory be to God indeed.
