We were lucky to catch up with Michael Torres Jaimes recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael Torres, thanks for joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
I moved to LA to follow my passion to become a personal growth spiritual leader. I struggled with finding jobs to make ends meet. I’ll be teaching personal empowerment classes for free. I drove Uber and saved my money because I wanted to take more advanced trainings. When I had saved up enough money to take the trainings I crashed my car at the same time was asked to leave the place I was staying in. At the same time I was presented with the scholarship to a high-level training to give me the tools that I needed. So I called everyone I knew to see if I could find the place to stay and ended up staying on a friends couch. From there I began marketing and launching my coaching business and within a year was making over six figures.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
In 2002 I took a hard look at the life I had created and although I had achieved external success internally I was not happy. I lost everything. I decided I needed to work on myself began reading and practicing meditation and books on mindset training. I healed my mind I healed my broken spirit. I quickly learn that I had a gift of helping other people because they would come up to me and ask me what I did. I began sharing the tools that I learned. And the people that came to me began getting results. I’ve now built a company called conscious wall changers from the years of experience I’ve developed tools and techniques that help people shift their mindset and record speeds help them create the vision and the purpose and teach them and turn the vision and purpose into physical reality to create more wealth in your business or create higher level relationships with the people they love romantic or friendships.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think would help my reputation in the market is letting go of who I think I needed to be in order to be like loved and respected. Authentic has helped me come this far.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn that the world is here to suit me. In the past I’ve put money first thinking that money is the key to solve all my problems. I had lots of money and yes it solved a lot of my problems but it didn’t bring me the happiness that I really wanted. It’s one I let go of my love for money and instead focused on loving people and then begin to use money to help myself and help people and life took a whole Another turn for the better. .
