We were lucky to catch up with Michael Toache recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Michael, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have always been influenced to create and to imagine. From my parents, encouraged to act on what is wrestling to come out. Then through school I was taught a process of design and informative decisions. The two approaches formed a start-to-finish machine for my ideas. I found expression in what I wore and applied my processes. With LXXV, it began rather simple. I dreamt of a black double-breasted suit and began there. From the fit to the details, the specificities were pre-determined. I repeated the process until I had created a coherent collection of pieces and with it, an identity for the brand started to form. With these pieces, I launched a campaign receiving local recognition and a few larger opportunities. This was enough to establish myself as a name and to start growing the roots to build a community.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
LXXV is an American luxury brand established in Atlanta. LXXV’s focus expresses storytelling and cultural influences, balancing permanence and personality. Exceptional material and a foundation in fine tailoring form a signature of the company. LXXV’s made-to-measure garments curate an attitude of the modern wardrobe.
LXXV offers made-to-measure experiences for suiting to highlight the importance of tailoring and personality. Our classic silhouette features an unstructured jacket, high waisted trousers, and a subtle flare.
LXXV offers a few ready to wear pieces as accents to the language of the brand. Designed with the same attention to detail and uncompromised quality.

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
The process of Made-to-Measure is very personal. We like to get to know each client and the better we know the client the more singular the garment. Once the piece is made we have made a connection to both the client and also the garment. This dialog continues as the client wears the pieces and we like to keep in touch and welcome feedback.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
LXXV started while I was in school for architecture, I used my studio to practice both disciplines of design. At first, I would try to hide my work with sketches or floor plans while in class, but eventually, I would be pinning both works next to each other in the studio while I bounced back and forth. Since graduating, I find myself continuing the relationship between the two as an appreciation of the disciplines.
