We were lucky to catch up with Michael Norado recently and have shared our conversation below.
Michael, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
a few years ago my wife and i were walking through a store and we sat in one of these zero gravity massage chairs for the first time, we instantly fell in love with the way we felt . at the time we only had one buisness wich was a barbershop . but just couldnt seem connect the 2 together . barbershop is loud and massage buisness is relaxing. so we put it off for about 2 years and thats when a space became available next to our shop. we instantly knew what buisness we wanted to put there. with covid dramatically changing the way buisnesses were operatiing in real time while stress levels were at an all time high for just about everyone we had to be creative.. we were excited and nervous at the same time because with 3 years of research, we found out that this specific buisness concept have never been done before. leaving us with more challenges than we could ever imagin . evean that couldnt stop us from daring to be diffrent and attempting (PULL THIS OFF). we believed it would work because essentially this is a full body contactless massage. after covid ,personal space became the (in thing) . people didnt want to be touched by other people let alone breathing the same air unfortunatly. we believed this would the the answer ,so we pushed forward. after purchasing the chairs then came the compete design of the space to optimize the experiance. Hidden Door, Waterfalls, Aroma, Relaxin Music , Sooting stars in the celing are just some of the features of this locatin. we knew we could offer stress, pain, and tension relief for a fraction of the cost of traditional massage. while remaining consistant and offering more options at the exact same time.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers
my name is Michael Norado . my wife and I are young entreprenuers in the central florida area. i was a barber by trade but just like everyone els ,we had so many what if ideas. but we knew we werent everyone els .we commited and stayed disiplined in the persuit of our dreams and goals in hopes to meet and inspire others to attempt the same . neither of us came from a background of entreprenuership wich made it extreamly difficult .but we wernt allowing that to get in our way.what makes us the most proud about out buisness is we quickly found out how expensive it would be to actually have our buisnesses built by professionals. so we took on the task of building everything ourselfs. with the help of our friends and family. Big thank you to Youtube/Pinterest.. weve learned so many diffrent skills from building the 3 buisnesses and grateful for the experience. shortly after opening our third buisness (Relax Room). we were contacted by Fox13 News to go live on Television to tell our story about our concept .and im not sure about you but ive never been on tv befor .to look back 5 months prior were everything was just an (idea). to be on television speaking about our journey is an amazing feeling . then customers started coming saying they saw us on tv and whanted to check out what we had to offer. Shortly after we started getting actual licensed massage therapist signing up for our membership wich gave us this sort of validating boost that it was all worth it . seeing the smiles of all of our customers as if were the reason they feel relieved,de stressed,&rejuvinated.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
one of the major lessons i had to unlearn was everything i knew about buisness at the time . after covid hit buisness simply didnt operate the same way.there is no such thing as knowing it all . you must be come a sudent forever as there will alwas be somthing to learn because the marktet changed daily. attention is the new currency wich is somting that dosent stay in the same place for very long. as an entreprenuer you must learn the value of attention and get creative in how you obtain it.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
my only buisness partner is my wife. and i believe our chemistry is what made our buisness thrive. one of my first investments was to buy her time back from her current occupation at the time. and now she runs operations in 2 of the buisnesses while creating her own schedual. its very important to have someone to bounce ideas off of and be able to communicate with. and for me that person was my wife. i believe doing challenging things in a relationship/marriage strengthens the bond . for us ,it was building our buisness and learning new things together!
