We caught up with the brilliant and insightful The Art of Michael Moore a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

The Art of Michael , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. The first dollar your business earns is always special and we’d love to hear how your brand made its first dollar of revenue.

One of my coworkers, saw one of my doodles I was doing. She had asked to make two pieces of Art. One a Lotus flower floating on Water and the other a Scorpion. Though I have been an Artist for many years. I had not worked on my Art for a while. After this I started making more art and someone else suggested I become a vendor at a local Arts and Crafts Festival

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

After college at Miami Dade College, I worked as a Graphic Artist. I have always loved Art. Being a South Florida native there are many subjects to draw inspiration from. Some of the Artists that have influenced me are: Nagel, Erte and Andy Warhol. My Art has evolved over the years. I have done paintings in Gouache, Acrylic and watercolors. More recently my Art is Graphic Art. I next started selling my brand The Art of Michael Moore on Etsy, Redbubble and more recently TheArtofMichaelMoore.com

Okay – so how did you figure out the manufacturing part? Did you have prior experience?

I create all of the Artwork. I sometimes use a local printer to produce reprints And post those to Etsy

Then I found Redbubble and they worked out really well they print my Art on many different items. From t-shirts to face masks. The later was my biggest seller during the pandemic

Last year I ventured in Spring. This vendor also helped with setting up my website TheArtofMichaelMoore.com

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I started out with Facebook. I then Instagram

I have created videos for You Tube

And more recently on Tik Tok
