We were lucky to catch up with Michael King recently and have shared our conversation below.

Michael , appreciate you joining us today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

I think that it takes consistency, discipline, patience, and commitment. I feel each one of these things helps the other. Consistency will help you get good at whatever you’re doing. Discipline will help you stay consistent and committed. You must have patience because success is journey not overnight. You must stay committed because things can change the moment, you’re ready to give up. There is much more contributing factors hard work etc. These four are major factors.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers

I am a traveling photographer based out of Detroit, Michigan. I shoot portraits and boudoir. I became a photographer because of the art of it. I love capturing the brilliant colors and details. One of the things I like to say is forever a student of the art. That’s because every time I shoot, I learn something new that makes me love it more.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

The Mona Lisa. I want one of my pieces of art to sit in a museum one day for millions of people to enjoy. I want it to become one of the most important pieces of art in history.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

For me it’s two things that I find top tier rewarding. The first is knowing that I created this beautiful piece of art. The second is why I like hand delivering my prints, it is seeing my client smile and reaction when they unwrap their photos. For me it’s nothing like it.
