Michael , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Discipline is the key to success in any area of life. Without discipline, I don’t believe you can be successful at anything. That doesn’t mean you can’t achieve anything without discipline, however true success requires discipline to achieve your goals. Success is more than a monetary value, it is the highest level of achievement in any area of life in my opinion. Being disciplined will bring consistency, and with discipline and consistency, will bring success. I aspire to be more disciplined in order to bring in more results in my life.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

First off, thank you all for tuning into my story. My name is Mike Jones, and I’m from a small town in NC called Nashville. 6 years ago my journey began into shaping who I am today. In 2017, I was a freshman in college and although I went in as a Computer Science major, I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I got out of college. Luckily, I always had a mindset to want to more out of life, but at the time I didn’t have the work ethic to match. I created a clothing line called Fancy Forever Apparel off of a trend that was going around campus that I helped create. From there, seeing the support I had was an unbelievable feeling that I will forever cherish. However, because I didn’t know anything about fashion and I didn’t have any business acumen, the brand was short lived and lasted until 2020. That didn’t stop me from diving deep into other endeavors during that time. I had numerous of jobs and businesses that I started to see what I would enjoy but nothing seemed to click until I created a YouTube channel L.U.V. Jones tv. I started talking about mental health and how to boost self love and eventually that led me to creating The L.U.V. Podcast in 2021. Professionally, I had been marketing my projects that I was apart of and using those successful strategies has led me to establish LUV Media LLC in 2023. LUV Media LLC is a full service digital marketing agency. Since starting, I have been able to successfully help grow my clients’ email marketing campaigns, become more active on social media, create amazing websites, host events, and much more. That’s why we’re committed to using our love of marketing to help businesses connect with their customers on a deeper level. We want to spread LUV through marketing.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?

The most effective strategy that has helped grow my business has been referrals and word of mouth. Offering a referral bonus to my clients, not only helps with retention, it also helps bring on new clients as well. Retaining previous clients is key to building trust.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?

I had to get out this “microwave” mindset. What I mean by that is, thinking things will grow overnight and thinking I can do things for a short amount of time and expect huge growth. I had fallen victim to social media while in high school and college seeing people my age with money and other things that I want and constantly comparing my life to theirs subconsciously made me depressed. Not only was I depressed but, I had signed up to many courses claiming that I could do XYZ and become rich basically overnight. After many failed attempts, and blaming my self for the lack of success in those areas, I had realized that social media only shows highlights. Once I realized that, I began to enjoy the process of working and celebrating my small wins along the way towards the big wins.
