We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Michael Garcia a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Michael thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
My parents taught me to get it on my own, wait for no one. I was taught to be tough and not feel sorry for myself. If something stumped me it was up to me to find a way to work around it. This impacted me because it made me carry myself with pride and respect.
Michael, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started photography as a junior in high school early 2018. I started shooting nature photography and then I moved into urban landscape but now I’m focused on more portraits and whatever I see as creative. I am always open to work with anybody.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my account from scratch what I recommend is being consistent with posting your product/ your work. Being active and creating relationships with others.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Beings good at what I do. Also working with other amazing creatives around me collaborating on projects together.
