Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Michael Alexander. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Michael, appreciate you joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
My parents are amazing people. They parented like we all do… trying to inject insight and life-lessons along the way while figuring out how to raise wild animals that look like children. The following are lessons I took from both what they said and by observing how they lived. For what they sacrificed for me and my brothers, I will always be thankful.
One, choose your hard. Exercising to be healthy is hard, but so is being overweight. Running your own business is hard, but so is working for a hateful boss in a toxic environment. Telling the truth can be hard, but so is digging out from under a lie. Life is hard, so you might as well chose the hard that makes you the best version of yourself.
Two, you do not change your friends, your friends end up changing you. So be careful who you let into your circle. This is especially true for your spouse. Choosing your spouse is the most important choice you can make in your life. They will be your inspiration when you have none, your partner when you can’t do it alone, and your stability when you everything around you is shaking apart.
Three, discipline is better than motivation. There are plenty of days I’m not motivated. Whether that lack of motivation is in growing my business, taking care of my body, or improving a certain skill, certain days are just harder than others. But if you are disciplined, you are able to push past that lack of motivation and accomplish the task at hand, regardless of if you’re motivated or not.
Three, never quit, because it’s never an option. If something doesn’t work out the way you planned, change the plan, and keep moving forward. But never quit.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started my medical career as a combat medic in the Army, eventually becoming a civilian registered nurse once I was done with my service. After about a year working as a nurse, I realized that it was not how I wanted to spend my life. Nurses do not receive fair compensation for the work they do. And if I was willing to work this hard for a hospital system, surely I could work this hard for myself.
That’s when I discovered travel nursing. Every 13 weeks, you were in a new situation in a new city. The pay was MUCH better, I didn’t have to attend ridiculous staff meetings that should have been an email at most, I was in control of when and where I worked, and I enjoyed the traveling. In the Army, I moved around so much, everything was always changing. It was always some new adventure… new places, new people. I missed those times.
While working a contract in California, a friend introduced me to the novel concept of vitamin therapy. He knew someone who owned a med spa, and one day after work, I went with him to get his IV. Within 5 seconds of walking into the med spa, I knew this is what I wanted to do. It combined my favorite thing to do as a nurse, starting IVs, with something I wholeheartedly believe in, which is the often downplayed benefit of micronutrients. I knew I had found my calling.
So many disease processes are the result of the lack of these micronutrients, which fuel every cell process in our bodies. From hormone production to healing, and from muscle contraction to eyesight, vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, amino acids, and antioxidants are working hard behind the scene to make sure everything runs smoothly. They are the unsung heroes of our bodies which are often neglected and forgotten. But traditional medicine doesn’t teach healthcare professionals this information. They are taught “sick care”… you have this symptom, you take this pill. That pill caused a side effect? Well, now you need to take this pill for the side effect! And so on and so on. Today’s healthcare only focuses on symptoms and not the cause. I wanted to help change that.
When deciding how to bring IV vitamin therapy to my hometown, we decided on a mobile model. The idea was to keep costs low and pass the savings onto clients by not having the overhead of a brick and mortar location, but rather to bring the service to them at their home, office, hotel, or event. I know when I get sick (even though it’s been quite a while) I don’t want to go anywhere but my bed. So going to our clients instead of the other way around sounded like a much better way to offer our concierge services.
What we offer our clients ranges from basic hydration to anti-aging therapies, and everything in between. We help treat cold/flu, hangovers, migraines, dehydration, pain, nausea, allergies, and over 35 acute and chronic conditions from cancer to Lyme disease. Our offerings vary from simple ingredients such as vitamin c and B12 to our advanced offerings of IV Ozone, NAD+ (the fountain of youth molecule), Glutathione (the Master Antioxidant), and Stem Cells for near miraculous healing potential.
Our goal is to help our clients live longer, happier, healthier lives. We’re proud to be able to offer healthier alternatives, allowing people to take back control of their own health. We’re honored our clients trust us to allow us to come into their homes to help them when they are at their lowest, and we feel blessed with each and every life we are privileged to assist with our services.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
This industry in general is not for the faint of heart. If you are easily dissuaded by hard work and constant challenges, I’d encourage you to look elsewhere.
It seems like once a week, there are regulatory changes trying to be made by faceless 3-letter organizations, which require a new set of protocols, new equipment, new training, etc. It is what it is, and their intentions, which are to protect the populous from businesses who are more interested in making money than client safety, are absolutely valid. But if you are one of those people who like to get stuck in your ways and are afraid of change, this business (or any business for that matter) may not be the best fit for you.
If you can find peace in the fact that everything will inevitably change, you’ll never be thrown off by the inevitable.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
As a combat medic who became a nurse, there were several challenges. As a medic, everything was very direct and fast. Bleeding? Stop the bleeding. Not breathing? Establish an airway. Communication? Concise and to the point. This is how I was taught to be a professional. Then came the civilian nursing field…
I won’t sit here and badmouth nursing… but I will say that everything I had learned in the Army about being a professional (efficiency and effectiveness) was not appreciated or even considered acceptable in the nursing field. I once found myself in HR because I used “harsh language” in an interoffice email to a colleague. What was the harsh language? It was the lack of me starting the email with a warm greeting such as “Good Morning, how are you today?” That’s all it took.
That being said, it is important to note that not all nurses are like that. I have met some amazing nurses in my time who I would trust with my life. But there is a reason phrases like “nurses eat their young” exist in our field.
But every field is different. No matter how good of a nurse I was because of my Army experience, I couldn’t act like a combat medic when I was surrounded by civilian nurses. They were on a completely different wavelength. I say all of that to say this: Being able to adapt to your new environment is vital for you to survive and thrive; in the Army, in business, and in life.
