Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mia Farrington. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Mia, thanks for joining us today. What’s the best or worst investment you’ve made?
I have made several high-ticket investments in myself and my business over the years, but the single best investment I ever made in myself was a VA course in 2017 for 12 payments of $97. It was A LOT of money for me at the time and a major risk.
I was a brand new mom working as a web designer at a party rental company. My commute was about 2 1/2 hours round trip to drop my son off at the grandparents before spending 9 hours at work and doing it all over again. I was pretty miserable and it was clear I couldn’t keep that up for long.
I came across a Facebook ad for a webinar to teach you how to work from home and build an online service-based business, so I signed up for it and listened to it on my way home from work on my phone. The course was a VA course and the cost was $997 or 12 payments of $97. At the time I was making $20/hr and we were living mostly paycheck to paycheck.
But I have always said, that if I am going to bet on anyone, I will bet on myself every time. So I did the payment plan, put in the work, and got my first VA client within a matter of a month. Within 2 months I was able to transition out of my full time job, and years later I am successfully supporting my family with my business.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m Mia Alysse from sunny San Diego. My journey has taken me from photography to web development, to Virtual Assistant, then to managing Facebook ads and finally landing on mastering Sales Funnel Strategy and Design. The pivot? Recognizing that my clients needed more than just ads – they needed a strategic funnel blueprint.
What I Offer: Primarily, it’s all about Sales Funnel Strategy and Design. While I’m well-versed with multiple platforms, FunnelKit and ClickFunnels are my preferred tools. But the platform is just a part of the story.
Client Challenges: Most approach me because they sense they’re missing out on potential revenue, but can’t pinpoint the gaps. Some are social media mavens but struggle with email monetization; others have a fresh product but lack a sales strategy. My solution? A detailed strategy session to understand their audience, past efforts, and then formulate a tailored funnel strategy.
My Edge: Combining the mindset of a marketer with the skillset of a designer. Many excel in one, but balancing both is where I find my niche. Additionally, my core ethos revolves around problem-solving. Instead of barriers, I see potential and am really skilled at seeing the whole picture, and then breaking it down into manageable steps.
Highlight: Ensuring the end-user experience is intuitive and seamless which helps with user retention and satisfaction. More happy people = more sales. I’m also on the verge of launching a course designed for those new to funnels, providing a toolkit for immediate traction.
OUR MISSION: Simplifying online sales, enhancing user experience, and ensuring every client has robust strategic support.
VISION: I strive to be a pillar in online business strategy, specializing in custom sales funnel design, always supporting clients throughout their journey.
If you’re looking for someone who can bridge the gap between strategy and design, offering a clear path in the often muddled online sales space, that’s me.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
100% of my business comes from referrals. This is nice because these people are primed and ready to work with you, but in order for that to happen, you have to rub elbows with a lot of people who don’t necessarily do what you do, but rather a complimentary service to yours. For example, I build sales funnels, and a complimentary service to mine is Paid Traffic. Most people come to me because they had a conversation with an ads manager, but their funnel was a mess on the back end, or they didn’t have one at all, so they get referred to me. Maintaining relationships with these people is key, and meeting new ones periodically is also key!
Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?
When I was first starting my business, I didn’t charge a whole lot for retainers or funnel builds which meant that people were eager to hire me (yay!) but after a couple of years like that, I was always working and super burnt out. I knew that something had to change, and in order to work less and make the same or more money, I needed to raise my rates. I was NERVOUS to do this because these clients had been with me for a long time and I was worried they would cancel. But I set a date and posted my new (doubled) rates on my website, then sent the emails, fully prepared to lose all my clients. Much to my surprise, I lost only one client, and the doubled rate more than made up for the loss. Then I started receiving new clients who didn’t even balk at the price, and I was again pleasantly surprised! I was prepared to have to justify my worth, but those who were working with me already saw it, and the higher prices brought in a higher caliber of clients. It could have gone either way.
