Alright, MG thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What were some of the most unexpected problems you’ve faced in your business and how did you resolve those issues?
One of the most unexpected challenges we faced, was managing our Vintage 1975 Volkswagen Single Cab as our mobile display for our fresh flowers and merchandise. While it exuded charm and uniqueness, maintaining and upgrading it presented a series of unforeseen hurdles. At times, it would break down unexpectedly, causing logistical setbacks and added stress. One of the most memorable incidents with #YoleeTheVW happened on our way to a wedding where it was set to showcase fresh flowers. Just 10 minutes from the venue, it developed a gas tank issue, reducing its speed to 10 MPH. In that moment, panic threatened to overshadow our excitement for the event. However, fueled by determination we managed to safely navigate #Yoleethevw to the venue, arriving right on time.
In addition to the challenges with our single cab, finding the right care for my toddler daughter during events was another unexpected obstacle.
Balancing the demands of running a business with the responsibilities of parenthood required careful planning and flexibility. There were instances where last-minute adjustments had to be made, leading to moments of uncertainty and concern about her well-being.
To resolve these issues, we adopted a proactive approach. For the Volkswagen for example, we invested in regular maintenance and upgrades to minimize the risk of breakdowns. We also established contingency plans, such as having backup set up options available in case of emergencies.
Despite the initial challenge, these experiences taught us the importance of adaptability and resilience in entrepreneurship
