We recently connected with Meredith Paci and have shared our conversation below.
Meredith, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to hear stories from your time in school/training/etc.
My education experience has been amazing. I would have never imagined all the twists and turns that have led me to where I am today. I had begun my education in the Arts, getting my Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Dance. My love for the body and for what it could do started early. That led me to have so many profound experiences, touring around the world and learning lessons of mental and physical fortitude that I would carry with me. I went down a clinical Medical path getting my Associate’s in Health Science and Associate’s in Dental Hygiene. With my education, experience working with people with different disease states and the amazing links of oral and systemic health, I knew I could help even more. During this time, having been a dancer and my love for health, of course, had me in the fitness space. As things would have it, having had a lengthy personal medical history of my own, I could not ignore needing to steer my love for health down a more specialized path helping individuals with systemic connections that they may be battling presently in my hopes to shape their future for the better.
Meredith, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a Health and Wellness Coach that takes a holistic and Systemic approach in helping clients navigate their present goals as well as supporting them for their future. This involves, as I mentioned, looking at all pieces from Nutrition, Lifestyle, and Systemic symptoms such as, but not limited to, anything from Amenorrhea, Perimenopause and menopause support digestive (gas, bloat, dysbiosis, SIBO, etc), Thyroid Health, weight loss resistance, Hormonal dysfunction, Adrenal adaptation, fatigue, brain fog, body composition goals, strength, energy, etc. as well as anyone who feels they do have a great knowledge base but needs the accountability to achieve further goals. I do this by looking at a client’s past history as well as present to create a path forward ensuring I build that path backed with support and education.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
This is such a great question! YES! If I could do it over I would have begun this road much sooner! However, things happened as they did and I am who I am because of those experiences. That is something to remember as well, I also remind myself that I forge my own path ahead to which I have a lot I still aspire to become
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
My personal experience! I never want to wear experiences as Identities or badges of honor, but I would not be being fully honest if I didn’t say that my personal experiences and struggles did not help only fuel me forward, but also allowed me to have a real life experience level of empathy for those who I have the honor of working with
