We caught up with the brilliant and insightful MeMe Williams a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi MeMe, thanks for joining us today. Have you ever had an amazing boss? What did you learn from them? Maybe you can share a story that illustrates the kind of boss they were or maybe you can share your thoughts on what you think made them an awesome person to work for?

I was introduced to Marcell Dareus ( formal Alabama football #57/ NFL Buffalo Bills #99 / Jacksonville Jaguars #99) while I was doing events and promotions at Martinis Ultra Lounge in Hoover Alabama in early 2000. He said he was looking for a personal assistant so I took on the challenge and became his PR/ PA. It was a challenge at first because I had my kids to take care of, the lounge and still run my business Dzire Inc. But the thing that I loved about working for & with Mr. Dareus is his big HEART he loves to give back to his community just as much as I do. Til this day we still work together on projects for the community and giving back so I am giving him his flowers

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I am a well-known entrepreneur and the owner of “D’zire Bar And Lounge/Dzire Inc,” as well as the author of “The Fourth Wife.” A published model and best-selling author with extensive experience in the entertainment industry. A true philanthropist, enjoys helping others and giving back to my community. I’m devoted to my family, my 3 kids, 7 grandchildren and friends. Im also a avid world traveler who enjoys exotic vacations and going to the beach.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?

For me my employees are family to me. I treat all my employees with respect and I take care of my crew. I’m always there when they need me and I make sure they know how much they mean to me.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Networking is the key. I make sure to show other small businesses love. Meeting new people and helping others at their business.
