We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful MelShonn Canada . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with MelShonn below.
Hi MelShonn , thanks for joining us today. Can you share a story that illustrates an important or relevant lesson you learned in school
The most important lesson stuck with me was in elementary school every morning we yelled with a excitement of our school pledge. The line that stuck with me the most was that “ I can do anything I set my mind to do! “ . With that mindset I carry that with me daily! I used that line to dictate my journey, success and It shows. I worked hard day in and day out to get to the level I’m at now. Throughout my struggles I kept my mental positive and manifested exactly how I wanted my path to go. By simply setting my mind to the person I wanted to be and the goals I wanted to reach!
MelShonn , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My Name is MelShonn Canada also known as Chef Shonny. I’m a personal/private chef and own a catering business in the heart of Kansas City, Missouri! As a kid I knew exactly what I wanted to be. Once I graduated high school I attended JCCC for the chef Apprenticeship program . Now Im a graduate and also a member of the American Culinary Federation accredited for a Certified Sous Chef. I provide services small to big events and willing to travel. I enjoy sharing my talents and craft to everyone. I will meet the requirements and making each clients event a one to remember by providing great quality food. With me finishing school learning different techniques doesn’t stop there I’ll continue to grow and be a great asset to my community!
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
How I built my audience through social media was being authentic with my craft. I would upload the start of my journey when I started school 4 years ago, up until now! I wanted everyone to watch me grow in my field and connect that upcoming chefs or any field with being consistent it will come all together for the good. Some advice I would give is to upload that content you never know who’s looking. People will be inspired by you and today’s society social media is the stepping stone! Also Take criticism, learn from it and come back stronger!
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Word of mouth and my social media platforms. I’ve gained my most clientele by having those two sources and it worked out for me!
