We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Meloddy Gorrochotegui. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Meloddy below.
Meloddy, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Bloom In Style didn’t start as a business idea. It actually started as a feeling! I noticed it first in myself. Every time I wore something that genuinely made me feel good, my confidence was at its peak! I felt more sure of myself, more empowered, and ready to take on the day! I’ve always loved fashion, but it was never about trends or labels for me because honestly, I couldn’t keep up with that financially. What really fascinated me was how much clothing can change the way you feel about yourself. It never mattered whether a shirt cost $100 or $20. The way I felt had nothing to do with the price tag. Realizing that shifted my entire perspective on style, and that mindset is what truly ignited something in me. I started to see clothing as a tool, almost like a silent introduction to the world. Before you even say a word, your outfit speaks for you when you enter a room and that idea completely changed the way I viewed personal style! Because I experienced firsthand how powerful the right clothing can be, I felt a pull to share that understanding with others. I had to learn this on my own because there are many stylist out there speaking on how to “elevate your look” or “styling hacks” but rarely did I hear them speak about the feeling your clothes can give you and how that feeling can bring such a positive impact to your life… it’s truly a domino effect!
That’s when I started, Bloom in Style, my styling business! The word bloom felt right because personal style isn’t instant. It evolves. It grows as you grow, through different seasons of life. Your style should support that growth, not pressure you, box you in, or force you into a label. So many women feel like they need to define their style, when in reality, personal style is deeply personal. It’s shaped by your lifestyle, your body, your personality, and it’s meant to be uniquely yours. Bloom in Style is about helping women gain clarity and confidence through clothing, without fashion rules that feel overwhelming or unrealistic. It’s about meeting women where they are and guiding them toward a wardrobe that feels aligned to their life, effortless on a daily-basis, and true to who they are and who they’re becoming. For me, it’s never been about dressing to impress. It’s about dressing to express how you feel or how you want to feel. And when you start dressing as that version of yourself, that’s when the confidence really begins to bloom and you start becoming that person!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I want everyone to know, that it’s never about about dressing to impress. but rather dressing to express how you feel or how you want to feel. And when you start dressing as THAT version of yourself, that’s when the confidence really begins to bloom and you start becoming that person!
I’m so proud to be changing the way women see and think about themselves. We are all beautiful in our own unique way, and clothing is such a powerful tool, one you can use not just to look the part, but to truly feel it!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
It’s simple, being yourself.
This is how I built my community on my socials. I’ll be transparent I dont have hundreds of thousand of followers on my socials, but the ones I do have are engaging with my content and are the ones that are truly interested in improving their style.
Being yourself, set’s you apart from others, and attracts the people you actually want to work with.
My perspective is I’d rather have 100 people interested in my services/content than 100,000 who are not.
Quality over quantity ALWAYS!

We’d love to hear about how you keep in touch with clients.
Honestly, loyalty is all about trust.
Building trust with my clients comes down to really listening to them. I make sure everything I do is personal and intentional, not just giving them clothes, but helping them feel seen and supported.
I also try to be really approachable and consistent. I want my clients to know they can count on me, whether it’s during a styling session or if they have a quick question afterwards. And when they start seeing how much more confident and clear they feel about their style, that trust just grows naturally.
My clients also have 30 days of full style support after their styling sessions. Even after those 30 days, I like to check-in with them in ways that feel personal, not pushy. I’ll send follow-up messages to see how they’re feeling in their new wardrobe. I want them to feel like I’m more than their stylist. I’m a guide and mentor on their journey to confidence and authentic self-expression!
