Melissa, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I started Benditta Jewels while I was in college, driven by my passion for jewelry and the need for extra income. It was a way for me to combine something I’ve always loved with the practical need to support myself during that time, and that’s how my brand began.

Benditta Jewels was born from a deep passion for jewelry that I discovered while in college. I started the business both as a creative outlet and a means to earn extra income. Over time, it evolved into something much bigger—a way to connect with people through meaningful pieces that celebrate beauty and individuality.
At Benditta Jewels, we specialize in unique, jewelry pieces that reflect personal style and timeless elegance. From statement earrings to delicate rings, our collection offers something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a bold accessory or a subtle, everyday piece.

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
One of the lessons I’ve learned is that jewelry isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. What truly makes a difference is finding businesses that support you and allow you to host pop-ups in their stores—that’s an amazing opportunity. Whenever you hit a “no,” you just have to keep trying until you find the right fit.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Pop-ups have played a huge role in helping us grow, not just in terms of sales but also by boosting our social media presence. These events create more visibility, allowing us to connect with new customers and increase engagement both online and offline.
