We were lucky to catch up with Melissa Bryant recently and have shared our conversation below.
Melissa, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
When you want more out of life. You pray and let God lead you. I know I was going to be an Entrepreneur. Because I have lots of talent and gifts. But I was holding myself back worrying if I could really do this. Besides writing book I just prayed step one faith and owned my first boutique store. God work everything out for me. We take risk on raising children in this crazy world. Why not take a risk to build a legacy for you and your family as God lead you.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I’m an Inspirational and Enduring Author of many books. I’m the mother of five amazing children and three grandchildren with one on the way. I’m a survivor of domestic violence, abuse emotional, physical and spiritual as well as rape. I’m a woman oh God who love inspiring others and telling the goodness of God. No matter what comes your way. Don’t give up! Keep pushing past the pain.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
I learned when you started a business or whatever you’re doing. It’s best to work In Silence everyone isn’t going to happy for you. I shared with a few friends who I thought was my friend. What I wanted to do and the things they said and talk behind my back. I learned how negative they were. Now I pray and work In Silence once I finish with a project than I released it.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
This lady was sewing some things for me. We just became prayed warrior for each other and best friend. Now she’s like my aunt and business partner. We pray together, take about it before we make any moves. God is in our business. We do it together.
