Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Melissa Bauske. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Melissa , thanks for joining us today. What sort of legacy are you hoping to build. What do you think people will say about you after you are gone, what do you hope to be remembered for?
With over 650 doctors appointments, 91 doctors and counting, with over 1,000s of hours spent with many compounding pharmacists, specialty doctors, and allergists – here we are. What’s my legacy mean to me and how am I building it?
Through my formed practices and lived experiences.. it is not a matter of if, but it is a matter of when you will fall ill in this lifetime.
For me, I live within my Legacy and Eulogy daily. I’m not here to have people speak of me when I am gone, I am HERE to have people SEEK me NOW while i’m alive and living within this aura of death daily.
You should live like you’re dying, not live like you’re living; this is my philosophy, makes for a much more beautiful life of silver linings, no regrets, and living at your fullest capacity.
What I hope to take away from my life that others follow is I led by an exemplary example of a mentor, friend, business owner, colleague, boss, coworker, etc. I practiced and worked within the mental health field for 1.5 years at my sickest, what I took away from that experience was…. helping over 700 patients.. Practicing our presence preserves our right to give back patiences and peace to others.
Its a very light and airy feeling to not be so heavy all the time knowing I accepted peace and patience to help all – even in times of frustration, failures, challenges, and hard complicated phases of their own lives. I have been told by many, I am a beautiful testament to be a part of people’s lives while they are in their “in-betweens”

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Since the age of 12; I have been exposed to thousands of people yearly at national state fairs. By the age of 14, I had a natural gift to speak, maintain conversations and sell what I believed to be beneficial for others. Many whole sale owners would come by the 10×10 lipstick booth just to watch me present and sell this lipstick product. At the age of 17, I graduated high school early, moved to the west coast, and started selling large ticketed items. Timeshares.
Between my natural gifts, personality type, and professional type. There is naturally a wholesome hospitality I provide to strangers and family members alike – my depth and vulnerability. My dad taught me young. “You respect, til disrespected. You give, until someones greedy. You trust, until it is broken.” I have lived my life giving people the benefit of the doubt and in return, it had rewarded me more vs hurt me.
I call myself the Jane of all trades truly for a reason. I work within corporate marketing/advertisement, having a deep passionate pursuit in health and wellness, a niche for perfecting my public speaking skills and currently writing (a book about mental health with poetry), I do business consults for start ups in multiple different industries. I can assess the health of an organization and their people (culture), I started a cleaning business due to my passion for healing myself and others. Its all encompassing to why I do large production work for large clients and work with 1-1 residential/small business.
Products and services I provide:
-Internationally Scented, Locally Sourced Beeswax Candles
-Mentorship + Effective Communication Coaching
-Conscious and Holistic Cleaning Services – Both Commercially and Residentially
-1-1 Organizational Services – Both Commercially and Residentially
-Sales Training + Leadership Education – helping managers understand personalty types, communication style, uniquely creating custom learning and development for their staff, and understanding + reading a customers and employees lifestyle differences to better serve them and the organization.
What I am most proud of.. the very little things I don’t share on social media or publicly. Saving a stranger from suicide due to my knowledge on suicidal ideation. Paying for a homeless mans dinner, hugging him, and humbling him giving him hope that tomorrow will be better with a positive mindset.
Pleasing a customer even when they may be in the wrong. While in the moment I change their choices, thoughts, feelings, or say otherwise.
Help mentoring young college students to prepare them for real life circumstances and not what a text book taught them. The best quote I have ever read… “Our purpose is not the THING you do, It is the thing that HAPPENS in others when you do WHAT you do.” That is what I would love to teach people. The deeper meaning and understanding of our life’s purpose and how to navigate certain situations through some of life’s obstacles.
The brand Lux Conscious Cleaning Services and Organization started because of my 5 year journey to healing. I found so many different things, had so many consults, conversations, trials and errors. I found a way to make others home a healthy ecosystem.
I would say what I provide my clients that is COMPLETELY different than any other cleaning service provider out there is –
1. Project pricing per space, no sq footage or hourly – each space is unique and different
2. No memberships that locks you in
3. Call and seek us out as you need – no calling you 10x a day.
4. Our business is niche and boutique in nature
5. 70% of our products are internationally sourced
6. If your ecosystem is sick, you can be sick. Health is the approach we take to cleaning a space.
7. We provide real support – physically, emotionally, mentally. I look at myself as a communicational occupational therapist as I clean your space – if you’re around.
8. Our processes and procedures are different than most company’s cookie cutter plans
9. WE LISTEN to our clients needs BEFORE and ASK for feedback AFTER your service was done.
10. We make sure the service agreement MATCHES the value of what we provided you.

What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
Love this question, this is a really complexed one. Here’s the example: you know when calling a company’s 1-800 number? You may already be upset or angry before even getting the person on the phone. Well, we know the person we are about to talk to; whom is a complete stranger, doesn’t deserve the wrath we are about to unleash, because whatever it is… IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT. Throughout my life, I have found wisdom in this challenging practice by truly giving grace and understanding.
This example is simply a human reaction MANY don’t realize they do to others. We expect resolution going into these calls, meetings, and confrontations. When really… there needs to be a patience, kindness, dignity, and real understanding/reflection to the end results of any conflict – personally or professionally.
I had to spend YEARS unlearning – romantically, personally and physically not to guard or defend. Others need understanding and to be listened to. Self Deception is a real thing.
