Melanie, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?

On November 3rd, 2023, I released my debut EP: “Unpredictable” which has been a significant and meaningful milestone in my career so far. “Unpredictable” is a reflection of the human experience. While we are all on our own paths, what I’ve realized is that the one thing we all have in common are the different emotions we will experience at some point in this lifetime. Happiness, sadness, first love, heartbreak, disappointment, confusion, betrayal…these are just a few of the emotions we all experience and from my personal experience, in the most unpredictable ways. “Unpredictable” is more than just a collection of songs–it’s a mosaic of experiences, feelings, and memories. My debut EP stands as a testament to my journey so far, an emblem of my struggles and triumphs. The journey to creating “Unpredictable” wasn’t just about producing music, but realizing a long-held dream. As with many artists, the creation of this EP was crafted with immense passion, sincerity, and. above all, was a labor of love. To see such a dream morph into reality is undoubtedly one of the most memorable moments of my career and life. For those who’ve ever dreamed big and pursued their passions, this EP serves as a beacon of inspiration, proving that with dedication and heart, dreams can indeed become reality.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I learned very early on that sometimes the best things that can happen to you in life can be unpredictable. When I was around five years old, my mother took me to a local music store one day and while we were there, I saw a voice lesson in progress. It looked like so much fun to me and they were singing songs that I loved. My mother told me that I wouldn’t stop talking about the music store or the voice lesson for weeks. My parents saw how passionate I was about pursuing singing so they decided to get me lessons and I haven’t stopped singing since. I can’t thank my parents enough for everything that they have done for me and I feel so grateful that they decided to give me that opportunity when I was five which has led me to where I am today. My dedication to the craft of music, became the foundation upon which I built my dreams. Throughout my childhood and high school years, I was active in my school’s music department, performed in numerous community theaters and local cabarets, and studied voice and acting at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera Academy. After I graduated high school, I moved to Los Angeles where I continued studying voice and earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting-Performing Arts at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy College of the Performing Arts. Upon graduation, I have worked as an actor and voice over actor and started releasing my own music. That foundational love for music, combined with the formative years I spent immersed in theatrical performance, naturally paved my path to become a female pop singer. In essence, music is not just a part of my life; it feels like an inescapable destiny, a calling that I’ve been fortunate to embrace and share with the world.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

Making music has always meant so much to me, but the true magic unfolds when I see my songs resonate with others. Their stories, emotions, and the way they connect with the lyrics make every moment in the studio worth it. It’s a profound feeling to know that my art can touch someone’s life, even for a brief moment. Their support and the bond we share through music is undeniably the most rewarding part of my journey as an artist.

Is there mission driving your creative journey?

As an artist, my ultimate goal is to help others through my art and storytelling, whether it’s through the medium of music or acting. I believe that stories possess the unparalleled capacity to heal, inspire, and bridge divides. I am committed and dedicated to using my talents to uplift and resonate with others, guiding them through shared human experiences and emotions.
