Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Meir Cioraru. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Meir, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Parents can play a significant role in affecting how our lives and careers turn out – and so we think it’s important to look back and have conversations about what our parents did that affected us positive (or negatively) so that we can learn from the billions of experiences in each generation. What’s something you feel your parents did right that impacted you positively.
It was my mother who led me to chiropractic. I was captain of my high school wrestling team, and every night I went to bed and woke up with a dislocated shoulder. Multiple specialists, no answers, surgery looking like the only path forward. My mother, who was health-oriented and sought natural options first, brought me to a chiropractor. He worked on my neck and back and the shoulder pain just stopped. That experience planted something in me. The idea that with great technique and your hands, you could reconnect someone with their body and unlock its ability to heal. That became my calling. My mother passed earlier this year, and part of what fuels me now is honoring her legacy and continuing what she set in motion.
But the deeper blueprint came from watching my parents build a life together. They were immigrants who met here, started a family, opened a flower shop in Miami while I was still a toddler, and turned it into a community institution, from Lincoln Road farmer’s markets to a location where people walk into the cooler and choose their own flowers. They knew everyone. They gave generously. They understood that relationships are the actual business. When I opened my own practice with my wife while our son was barely one, I brought all of that with me. I focus on technique, but I also focus on listening, warmth, and building something people want to be inside. People linger in our lobby drinking coffee even though appointments are quick. My parents believed there is always an occasion to bring someone joy with flowers. I believe anyone with a spine should come see me, because what I’m really doing is reconnecting people with what brings them joy too, whether that’s being pain-free, performing at their best, or being present for the moments that matter most.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I’m a Miami native and Gonstead chiropractor plus small business owner. Chiropractic found me first as a patient. I was a competitive wrestler suffering from chronic shoulder dislocations, and after multiple specialists couldn’t help, chiropractic care not only resolved it but allowed me to go on and compete collegiately and play Division 1 rugby. That experience changed the direction of my life.
I practice the Gonstead technique, widely regarded as the gold standard of chiropractic for its precision and use of objective tools. Before I adjust anyone, I take X-rays, use a Nervoscope to detect nerve pressure and inflammation along the spine, and do a thorough hands-on analysis. The adjustments themselves are specific and gentle, no aggressive twisting. To see is to know, and I won’t adjust without first understanding exactly what’s driving the problem.
Our office offers care for the whole family, from five-day-old infants to patients in their eighties. I also became Webster’s certified to support pregnant women.
Just like everyone with teeth sees a dentist, everyone with a spine would benefit from seeing a chiropractor. Beyond neck and back pain, your spinal health directly affects your nervous system, which means sleep, digestion, recovery, and sensation throughout your body.
What I’m most proud of are the moments that go beyond only pain relief into the meaningful moments and joy unlocked. Helping someone regain sensation in their feet. Watching a patient get back on a bike in their later years after feeling immobile. A young man who gained confidence in dating after helping him resolve his eyes crossing. A mom who had a difficult pregnancy, got the healthy and optimal delivery she wanted, and brought her newborn in for their first adjustment. Those are the moments that remind me why I do this.
My wife and I built Well Adjusted together from the ground up, and we were intentional about every detail, including the environment. We brought Gonstead chiropractic to central Miami, and whether someone comes in for pain relief or preventive health, we are built to help.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
The best source of new clients has always been other happy patients. Not just satisfied, but genuinely excited about the positive changes in their bodies and eager to tell someone how good they feel or a milestone they were able to now achieve or get back in their lives, whether they do it on social media, community whatsapp groups, or just word of mouth. That energy spreads in ways ads can’t replicate.
It’s incredible to watch the referral family tree grow, meaning that one patient refers another, who refers another, who refers another, and along the way multiple lives are changed. BJ Palmer, who shaped chiropractic into the profession it is today, said it best: “You never know how far something you think, say, or do today will affect the lives of millions tomorrow.” It starts with one person feeling better and wanting that for the people they know and love.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
We built it little by little, and it is far from an overnight success. We treated social media as an extension of our office, which meant clean visuals and mostly educational content. In other words, being a value-add, rather than an advertisement. I share practical tips around travel, sleep, how migraines relate to the curves in your spine (or lack thereof), what our specialized tables do custom by body part and person, and how the Gonstead technique actually works. The goal is always to help someone understand things a little better.
The other engine has been community. We have always been deeply community-oriented, especially with me being from this area. From supporting local charities to hosting health events for moms alongside doulas and pediatricians, to being a regular presence at our local farmers market, those partnerships created content that was organic, collaborative, and amplified by the people we were doing it with.
