We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Meia Nashana. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Meia below.
Alright, Meia thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.
Risk taking can be good or bad and in my younger years, most of my risks taking ended up being bad and having to learn from the mistakes I made and the possible consequences that could potentially come with it. However, ever since the age of 30 (now 40) I’ve found that my greatest positive risk was walking away from a 9-5. I’ve been an entrepreneur for 5 years this coming January. Owner & operator of Creatively Ink’d by T a graphic design/branding company. That risk for me allowed me to not only become my own boss, but gain the freedom I’ve always looked for to be the best mom, woman and boss woman I could be. The journey is not easy but every trial and tribulation has been worth it. When God gives you the vision never be afraid to take the risk to bring it to fruition.

Meia , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think what has helped build my reputation was consistency. My network building came over time and I’m still focused on making this progress with grabbing the attention of other people.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
When changing from a 9 to 5 to entrepreneur life, I had to adjust to a number of things. One of them was the freedom of when getting off work that’s it for the day. However, when becoming an entrepreneur it’s 24 hours. It’s not just one title it’s all of them. It can absolutely be overwhelming at times but the sacrifice is worth it.
