Megan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Honestly, if you want to be successful. You need to BELIEVE you are already successful. You need to visualize yourself where you want to be. Want to grow to 10k followers on tiktok? You need to picture that in your head every day. You want to earn 5 figures a month? Visualize your bank account with 5 figures. If you aren’t a visual person, write down your goals. Once things are tangible.. it’s easier to reach those goals.

Also, start small with your goals. Break them down into bite-sized achievable goals. If you overwhelm yourself in the beginning, you will quit and won’t get to where you need to be.

I am Megan! (I go by meg the creator online)

I wear many hats, just like most of us! I am a side hustle mentor, content creator, mom, and wife—but at the heart of everything I do is a passion for helping people, especially introverted parents, find financial freedom through online opportunities.

My journey into this industry began out of necessity in 2020. I just had another baby and I was tired of living paycheck to paycheck and buried in debt. So I started a multi 6 figure virtual assistant business. I ran that full-time from 2020 -2023. While it was amazing and helped me pay off $60k in debt, my mental health took a toll. By the end of 2022, I was enrolled in full-time therapy and then in early 2023, I shut everything down because I was tired.

But in time, I refined my methods (to be more passive), learning the ins and outs of Amazon Onsite Commissions, UGC (User-Generated Content), and TikTok Shop. These platforms not only helped continue to pay off debt but also allowed me to continue working from home, not work a 9-5 job and spend more time with my family.

Today, I mentor parents, particularly introverts, to launch and grow their own online side hustles. As an introvert myself, I’ve developed systems that allow shy or reserved individuals to thrive in the online space. Whether it’s finding the confidence to put themselves out there, learning the technical steps of content creation, or building consistency, I’m here to walk them through it all.

My services include step-by-step tutorials on:

My biggest accomplishment is helping other parents achieve financial freedom. Seeing someone gain confidence, launch a side hustle, and start earning from home is incredibly rewarding. I’m also deeply proud of paying off $60K in debt—proof that even small steps can lead to big results when you stay consistent!!!

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I grew my audience to 24,000 followers on tiktok in five months by staying authentic, consistent, and adaptable. I showed up every day, focused on being myself, and shared my journey as a mom and the side hustles I do. My growth wasn’t about going viral or gaining followers—it was about building trust and serving my audience with valuable content. :)

You don’t need a huge following to do the side hustles I teach, like Amazon Onsite Commissions and UGC! They are based on engagement.

Here is my advice for beginners:
– Start before you’re ready and focus on offering value.
– Engage with your audience like a friend, not just a creator.
– Remember: success isn’t about the numbers; it’s about impact.
– You don’t have to be perfect or have a massive following to thrive. Show up as you are, someone will relate to you!

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

Resilience has defined my journey, especially when I was removed from the Amazon Influencer program randomly in October 2023. After building so much momentum, that setback forced me to start over from scratch, rebuilding new TikTok accounts and re-recording my Amazon videos! Basically, I had to start over and rebuild but I never gave up because I had an end goal in my mind.

I worked late nights creating content and early mornings caring for my kids, pushing through every challenge to rebuild my business because I wanted to make a change! Losing my account taught me that no setback defines success. This setback forced me to diversify my income streams, stay consistent, and stay true to my mission of helping others.

My advice for newbies:
– Setbacks are detours, not dead ends.
– Consistency is the key to growth.
– Bet on yourself—you’re your greatest asset.
