We were lucky to catch up with Megan Sousa recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Megan thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Are you happy as a creative professional? Do you sometimes wonder what it would be like to work for someone else?
I am super happy as an artist and creative. There’s a certain freedom I feel when I create. However, there have been points over the years where I wondered what it would be like if I would work in the corporate world. The thought of that actually gave me more motivation to double down in my creative work.

Megan, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
In all honesty, I got into the business of show when I was very young. Starting slow you know? Plays, music, painting, poetry, commercials, theatre, dance, background work etc. In college I started modeling more and working side gigs on different sets. That evolved me moving to Los Angeles to pursue my acting and comedy career more seriously. Currently, I run a company, Laugh Your Truth Productions, focusing on live and filmed productions. We produce a monthly comedy show in Los Angeles and New York. LYT Comedy Show is curated with multicultural comedians that you won’t see anywhere else.
What sets us apart from others is we take humility and craft very seriously. We are organically building our company and momentum. We are always showcasing new and fresh talent from intentionally diverse lineups. It’s refreshing to see people appreciate the representation of different cultures.
I am most proud of the community and opportunity surrounding the brand. It’s wonderful to see all of these talented people come together to execute the vision. We can curate these shows for cooperate comedy, birthdays, and events with high level production and execution.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Attend live shows and performances. Share the content. Be positive and optimistic when discussing their dreams. I always encourage artists to create their own platform digitally or in real life. Create your community and watch it grow!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes! My goal is to continue to spread brand awareness to a global scale with Laugh Your Truth Productions. And I want to bring awesome people along the way. As a CEO, I am constantly thinking of ways to innovate. Our company mission is to spreading joy through laughter, representing a diverse world and create positive experiences for people. My personal mission is encourage, enlighten and spread love by all means necessary.
