Megan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I remember being little girl watching models like Tyra Banks and Noami Campbell on runway and thinking to myself I can do that I wanna be just like them when I grow up seeing beautiful black women on tv in my generation see women that look you like made young black girls feel beautiful and seen from that day forward I knew my purpose .

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Hey my name is , Megg also known as Meggthamodel I’am a freelance model, creator, entrepreneur and the Founder of Rags To Riches Fashion Show . Backstory how I got start I was about 6yrs old watching models like Tyra Banks and Nomi Campbell are just few of my inspiration that inspired me to want start modeling I started with casting calls and pageant at the age of about 7yrs old having the opportunity at 16yrs old casting for Top Model hosted by Tyra Banks . Fast Forward to 2021 reintroduced to the modeling world I had the opportunitiy to star on the big screen with Kansas City based movie Golden Gloves as Ronnie , Fashion Shows, the opportunity of working with Artist starting in music video and also working as concept creator on side of photographer having opportunity of Founding my own fashion Show Rags To Riches Fashion Show in Aug 2021 which was amazing opportunity and experience . I took sometime off some souls searching and pray makesure im on right journey . We are now 2025 I’m officially back and working landed my first photoshoot back with the amazing photographer Shi Walker of Shi Snapped Photography and also the launch of my own line 2026 and working on launching our 2nd annual fashion show . Right now I’m on this journey and whatever the most high has in store for me I’m here for it all.

How did you build your audience on social media?

Build audience is important in helping market and brand yourself or businesses, When I first started it was difficult knowing how to build and engage with your audience but I learned loading loading is very important to help keep your audience engaged make sure you are available on all platforms and engaging with your audience set certain amount time to dedicated to engagement with audience.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My goal is to open my own model mentorship academy ,I’m also working on the launching of my Boutique and just want to continue to grown within my modeling building my portfolio and maybe even more traveling. Also we cant forget about Rags To Riches Fashion Show we are excited to announce our 2nd annual makesure follow my social for updates.
