We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Megan Crane a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Megan, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
At Little Sister Dahlonega, our mission is to create a warm, inclusive space where creativity, community, and connection thrive. As a family- and female-owned salon, retail space, and studio, we provide high-end hairstyling and artistry while celebrating local artists and inspiring others to embrace their creativity.
Rooted in kindness, support, and respect, we honor diversity and individuality, fostering an environment where everyone feels welcome. Driven by a shared dream, we aim to build a lasting legacy for our daughters and community, blending creativity, kindness, and connection into everything we do.

Megan, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

How do you keep in touch with clients and foster brand loyalty?
We keep in touch with our clients through email marketing and social media, ensuring they stay up to date on everything happening at Little Sister Dahlonega. We also share our family craft nights and invite our clients to join in the fun. You can often catch people knitting on our couch, stopping by to see what’s new, or chatting about the new hairstyle they want to achieve. It’s become a place where people just pop by, and we absolutely love that! By creating personal connections, we go beyond salon services to make our clients feel like family. We take the time to get to know them, celebrate their milestones, and keep things warm and genuine. Through these efforts, we’ve built a community where our clients feel seen, valued, and appreciated—far beyond just a haircut or workshop.
