Hi Megan, thanks for joining us today. We’ve love to hear an interesting investment story – what was one of the best or worst investments you’ve made? (Note, these responses are only intended as entertainment and shouldn’t be construed as investment advice)

My best investments have always been taking a leap and jumping out of my comfort zone. A few times that’s looked as big as moving across the country or abroad and sometimes it’s just going to be a show or event solo. It’s a great tool to shake up your perspectives and make new opportunities for yourself.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I’m a photographer and one of the co-founders of Sunnwaves Creative, a brand storytelling collective. Both businesses are heavy in the action sports world with an emphasis on surf. My personal work documents big wave surfing in Hawaii and Australia and women in the surf and skate scene.

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?

You are your greatest resource. You are the person who can make things happen for yourself. So be prepared to put yourself out there a lot even if it’s uncomfortable.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The multitude of interesting worlds you get a glimpse of.
