We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Robin Stanley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Robin, appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?

I’ve always wanted to own a clinic, but I never knew exactly what I want it the main focus to be. I just know I like helping people, that’s one of the main reasons I became a nurse. Back in February of 2020, I had weight loss surgery, and the very next day they gave me a vitamin bag of fluids, these fluids had me on cloud nine. I had my surgery in Las Vegas, Nevada and the day after surgery after I got the fluids I was walking around, exploring the city. I know that vitamin bag had a lot to do with my energy the way I felt one day after major surgery. That’s when it hit me , I want to open up an IV hydration center. So I started brainstorming well a few weeks later Covid hit and it hit bad, the world had shut down. Many people lost their jobs or weren’t working. I just had to put my dream on hold towards the end of 2020 into the beginning of 2021 I started thinking “you know people are thinking about how can we live healthier lives” and I started planning again because this would be something to help people be healthier so we don’t be prone to getting sick, I asked my business partner, Gerlana Vargas if she would want to open up a clinic with me and she was all in and then we started planning and in November 2021, We officially opened up Thirstology Infusions and wellness lounge. My dream had become a reality, and I owe it all to that vitamin bag I got after surgery.

Robin, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’ve been a nurse practitioner for eight years and before that I was a registered nurse for four years so I’ve been the medical field total of 12 years and I’ve worked with many different disciplines, MedSurg, I was a pediatric nurse practitioner, gastroenterology hospitalist, and now I work in preventive care. I’ve helped people pretty much my whole life, it makes me happy to service people. Our business is focused on health and wellness. We offer many different, IV, drips, and vitamin injections. We plan to expand aesthetic procedures.

I think what makes Thirstology Infusions a wellness lounge different is that we care, we do full assessment before any service. If there are any contraindications, we will not perform the service if it will cause you harm because our clients are number one. We both are board certified nurse practitioners, so we are highly trained in our field and our clients can know that they are getting the best service possible.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.

So my business partner and I have known each other since we were in nursing school it’s a funny story one day I was talking about my birthday which is July 24 and she came up behind me and said that’s my birthday and I was like no it’s not, and she’s like yeah it really is. From then on we became friends. I’m two years older than her to the date. We have traveled to Italy together. We went through nurse practitioner school at the same we graduated a couple of months apart, and even now we even work together. We’ve pretty much always worked at the same facility with our history. I knew that it was no one else I would want to ask to do this business with and I’m happy with my choice. I can’t wait to see what our future holds.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

I think our excellent customer service and our knowledge about the services we offer helps build our reputation in our community. We are not in this just for money. We want to help people, we want to build immunity and wellness in our community. We build relationships with our clients. We talk to our clients some of them use us therapy and that is perfectly fine because sometimes you just need someone to talk to and we also offer massages with our drips because we want people to be really relaxed. I love that about us.
