We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Media Prince a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Media, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
Honestly the mission is the core of my brand which is shredding light to the talents first, my area beholds and secondly what the world has to offer. I believe greatness does not always have the spotlight shining on them and I thought it was time to bring awareness to great artistry that should be seen, SHOULD BE HEARD!
I have a background in writing for bigger publications and it became a headache trying to showcase talents that should be seen so I knew to bring awareness to these great acts, brands and businesses, then I would have to be that platform.
It has been a beautiful ride, there have been and still are artist’s, brand’s, businesses, etc that I have been able to spotlight and I feel honored to know I am helping bring just a little bit more eyes and ears and dockets peoples way!
It really is an amazing feeling and I love first putting my city on, my area on, but also really showcasing the world’s greatest creators.
 
 
Media, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
So I go by The Media Prince, I am 15x Award Winning Entertainment Journalist and owner of The Media Prince entities which include my website TheMediaPrince.com , social media marketing and brand building.
So I have a background in Journalism and in PR & Marketing, so beautifully I have been able to blend the two worlds; one being a leading Media Entity with my website, showcasing and interviewing some of the top acts the world has to offer from 50 Cent to Megan Thee Stallion to Rico Nasty to Regina Hall to Fivio Foreign to Taraji P Henson to Jamie Foxx, the list goes on.
The other being a top marketing guru who help brands, summit, music artists, studios, mangers, etc move forward with their branding, strategies and overall position in the marker place.
It hasn’t been and easy ride and I didnt do it all on my own, I have a team, my Publicist Just 1 PR, my advisor AP, and my cameraman ShotByMLB and we have been hitting the pavement running. I am most proud of the strength, endurance and grace I have grasped in this journey, it is not easy and man have I thought about quitting but it’s in that moment I gain a new strength and skill in myself and I take on the next journey no questions asked!
Aside from these things, I am an Author of two books out now on Amazon “And Then I Was Cancelled” First Edition & Deluxe Edition, I am a contributor on TMZ Live, I am on the radio Mon-Fri on 101.3 Jamz in Charlottesville, VA , and I am the Host of “What’s Going On DC” on The Washington Informer Bridge”.
So Yes I’m a BUSY GUY!!!
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
My consistency and being OUTSIDE!
I know outside has gotten it’s own notation this summer to be exact, but I didn’t miss a beat, I was out at events, I was out at premieres, I was out at sessions and I was consistent, I still am.
This helped shape how I was received in the industry and I attribute that to my reputation and of course GOD, duh!
 
  
 
Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I am still learning the ins and outs of course but I look at it as another avenue to have control of your creation, your work and being able to share that with the world your way, while getting paid your way.
It is also creating a new way of how we use and receive currency.
