Montana, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Is your team able to work remotely? If so, how have you made it work? What, if any, have been the pitfalls? What have been the non-obvious benefits?
Short answer. Setting and discipline. Working remotely is never easy, but you have to get your work done. No better way than to treat your home office space as the workplace and be disciplined enough to get it done. Tune out distractions.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Montana DeVane and I am the founder of Xautron, LLC, also know as, Xautron Technologies. We are a startup business that specializes in providing technology consulting and solutions to businesses which help them to improve efficiency in how they operate and deliver value to customers. We provide business consulting services as well.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I actually invest in my business out of my pocket. I am a full time Regional Systems Manager, so I use a portion of my pay checks to invest in hardware and software for my company. I invest my free time into research and ways to scale my business.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
In the last year I’ve had to realize that I have a gift that I can and should use to help others succeed. My gift is knowledge. Through my experience as a Systems Subject Matter Expert in supply chain, I encountered many situations where systems would lack a lot of beneficial functions. My main priority has been to listen carefully to the technical needs of entrepreneurs/business owners and solve their problems. This is how I can change lives.
