We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful McKenzie Siemion. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with McKenzie below.
McKenzie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
My background as a nurse practitioner was primarily urgent care. In 2020, I was working for a local, large hospital system doing 12 hour shifts treating mostly common colds. Once covid hit we were completely overrun with patients, but ultimately we were offering very little in terms of treatments. This caused me to look at the healthcare system differently. At that point I wanted to learn more. I enrolled myself into Institute of Functional Medicine. That program truly blew my mind as to how the body works and getting to the root cause treatment. I knew I wanted to be able to do more for my patients, applying this new knowledge. Once the hospital systems started to mandate covid vaccinations I took the biggest risk I’ve ever taken to leave my day to day job and start treating patients on my own. It’s actually a funny story, my husband and I were floating in the pool for my birthday and I was struck with the idea- I could treat covid patients on my own! I jumped out of the pool and started taking notes. My husband laughed and said “you can’t start a business in two days”, I said “Watch me!”. That was in August and by October of that year I was slammed with work. I was offering mobile IV therapy and telemedicine visits. I had never had such satisfaction as treating those patients in those early days. As time went on patients were not getting as sick and things gradually started slowing down, I knew I wanted to be able to offer more services in a brick and mortar location. I moved into my current office in June of ’22. Since that time we have evolved tremendously. I have always had a passion for treating mothers of all walks of life. Being a mother myself I know the day to day grind of putting others first and taking minimal time for myself. My next big risk I took was purchasing my EmpowerRF device. This was a HUGE investment for what was still a small clinic, but I just could not pass up the opportunity and potential treatment for so many women in my community. Being able to treat such sensitive ailments, like urinary leaking and sexual dysfunction has been live changing for so many of my wonderful patients. Now our team has grown and we continue to offer a wide variety of services. From cosmetics, sick visits, detox and other wellness therapies, IVs, ozone, weight loss and intimate wellness we are truly a one stop shop you can trust.
McKenzie, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

At ReNu Wellness Clinic we offer a wide variety of services. We offer cosmetic services such as Botox and Filler, as well as Morpheus8 microneedling for face and body contouring. We offer nutrient IVs and IV ozone that resolve an array of ailments but also keep your body feeling and performing your best. I offer supplement and weight loss consultations to help you learn what your specific body needs to feel your best in terms of energy, and mood. We offer detox ozone sauna therapy to help your body heal in a multitude of ways. And lastly, my passion, is treatment women’s intimate issues. We have several treatments to resolve urinary leaking, painful intercourse, atrophy, dryness, and sexual dysfunction. These treatments are all done in office without surgery, down time is minimal and results are life changing.
What sets us apart from other clinics is the time and compassion we provide to each patient. Each patient meets with me as the provider. We discuss your specific needs over an appropriate amount of time. Some of the issues we address can be sensitive, there is no “TMI” in our office, we want to spend the time to hear all the gritty details. No appointment is rushed and we want you to feel comfortable at all times.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I think the risks I took by leaving the hospital system and treating covid patients on my own really helped me build my reputation in the market. I had so many patients that needed treatment, but did not want to conform to what mainstream media, and truthfully, other providers, were telling them. I offered an outlet and hope for many of those patients. At times I was able to offer a natural treatment plan that many people preferred over alternatives. This base of clientele I had was like family and this is how I continue to treat my patients to this day. We were all living through one of our nations toughest time through the pandemic and I never wanted patients to feel like they were doing that alone.
Can you talk to us about how your funded your firm or practice?
Funding my business was the result of a lot of savings and hard work. I have always been a busy person, I like having a lot to do for a lot of the time, I thrive in that sort of environment. When I first started dabbling in any sort of business I was doing cosmetic injectables from my home office. I saved money for product, lisencing and equipment. I never made the next move until I was able to buy it outright. My husband and I are big Dave Ramsey fans and mostly live by his financial principles, aka minimal debt. I always knew if I grew the business into something larger I wanted to do it for myself. I have had offers of investors wanting to invest in equipment or other things for my office, but I have always turned them down. This is something I am so proud of and at the end of the day, I want to be able to say that I did it by myself.
