MaZaria, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

I knew I wanted to pursue a career in the arts once I became a junior in high school & we had our college fair.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is MaZaria, I was raised in Tennessee, where I was very active in sports during grade school, participating in basketball, cheerleading, and dance. Among these activities, dance resonated most with my character and allowed me to express my authentic self. Now an alumni with a BFA in Dance, specializing in Commercial Dance from AMDA College Los Angeles, I aspire to impart my knowledge to the next generation of artists. Due to my training, I cultivated resilience, self-confidence, and strong communication skills, even during challenging times, while focusing on what brings me happiness. Dependable and passionate, I seek to absorb wisdom from my surroundings to enhance my creativity. Drawing on my extensive education in dance, acting, and film, I aim to use my art to foster a supportive community for both artists and individuals alike.

In your view, what can society to do to best support artists, creatives and a thriving creative ecosystem?

I believe that society can unlearn a judgmental prospective when it comes to observing performing arts. The beauty in arts is that it’s a form of freedom of speech, which means it resonates with you or it doesn’t but there is no room for judgement.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My lifelong mission is to create a dynamic creative organization that unites dancers, singers, actors, and filmmakers in a collaborative space. I aim to foster an environment where all forms of art come together, inspiring innovation and providing opportunities for creatives to connect and grow.
