Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Maya Wright . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Maya , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My journey to becoming a Creative Brand and Marketing Consultant was born out of deeply personal exploration. Taking the time to rediscover how I wanted to contribute to the world transformed my perspective, helped me see beauty in a place I’d overlooked, and ignited a dormant passion.
Creativity has always been a part of who I am. I love art, fashion, and music, but there was a time when I doubted the feasibility of a full-time creative career and was terrified of failing. I found myself in an executive role, leading teams and developing business strategies. I loved the challenge of planning, optimizing efficiency, and driving results. Still, I felt a disconnect. I craved freedom and expression.
I was determined to find a middle ground where creativity and business could intermingle. I wanted to blend art, strategy, and marketing, and my new goal became more apparent: to empower creatives to amplify their unique voices and connect with their authentic audience through storytelling.
Today, Leigh Branding is committed to this mission. We merge creativity with an intentional strategy to elevate the artistic community. I’ve found my calling in this role, and I’ve never felt more at home in it.

Maya , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
At the core of my brand is deep empathy and understanding. My approach is rooted in a healing, almost spiritual experience that comes from witnessing the growth of creative individuals. It reflects my journey, struggles, and aspirations mirrored in the lives of those I want to support.
My philosophy is not driven solely by financial gain; it’s a purpose that transcends monetary transactions. I’m here to nurture sustainable growth, to help you build a life enriched by passion, and to empower you to make a positive contribution to the world through your art.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
My strategy revolves around deeply understanding creatives’ unique challenges and aspirations, meticulously crafting brand stories, strategic positioning, and leveraging the right platforms to amplify their voices.
Maintaining a commitment to delivering consistent value is key in a world of fleeting trends and momentary engagements. For me, this requires regular, meaningful interaction with the community, continuous refinement of their brand story, and always prioritizing the authentic expression of their creative vision. Delivering consistent value leads to organic growth through word-of-mouth recommendations and building a loyal community.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Finding new clients who best suit your business can be challenging. One of the most effective ways to attract new clients is by physically going where they go. “Find where they live and go knock on their door,” as my dad says. Meet people face-to-face and connect with them on a personal level to build rapport. This personal connection is invaluable because it allows you to establish trust and credibility with potential clients, which is essential in building a solid client base.
