We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Maya Robinson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Maya below.
Alright, Maya thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
I am happy as a creative! I am most fulfilled when I am in any creation process. Ive worked on and off as a teacher for years while building so many dreams along the way. There have been several moments where Ive felt I wasnt far along enough in life or in too far over my head, but Ive always had a louder more positive internal voice telling me to dream on. There is a healthy balance that exists where you can pursue your dreams and be truly happy in the present moment.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Mayas Dream House started out as my Instagram and Youtube channel. It was really my outlet to help others achieve their dreams through health, beauty and lifestyle. That is still my mission today, but on a much larger scale. I am most proud of having my LLC and creating a successful club of content creators (Dream Club COMO). My intention is to open my health, beauty and lifestyle space in Columbia, MO in the near future. (Mayas Dream House)
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative for me is that my dreams sort of revolve around other peoples dreams. The topic of conversation is always about getting to know the desires of others hearts and learning what they were put on Earth to do. I get to see people grow, transform and light up.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Opening my business and providing a space for people is definitely whats driving me. Not only do I want to experience the freedom and luxury of “working” for myself. It is a testimony to my faith and a testimony of real manifestation. Mayas Dream House is going to positively impact so many lives and I’m just excited to be apart of more journeys!
