We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Max Williams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Max below.
Max, appreciate you joining us today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.
Currently I am just finished editing a short Virtual Reality experience. It is a fictionalized drama of two individuals having a conversation on a park bench. It says everything I have ever wanted to get across from my bones about oneness. It has been 14 years in the making. Shot four years ago.
There are those who do not understand the story. It makes them uncomfortable. I am fine with uncomfortable. I respect it as an avenue of evolution. A little uncomfortable can go a long way!

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
Nature and connectivity are my core inspirations. As a creator, I spend tons of time in my head. And that is the yin and yang that is so touchy, as, though my head can be a grand inspiration of wonder, it can also trip me up. When I connect with nature, a stillness comes over me.. And that stillness is present on my best days even when my mind is doing its thing!

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Oneness. Every story I have been inspired to write or be a part of lives in and among the branches of the oneness theme. A ‘seeking to find’ for all characters on some level that will bring them somehow together as energies to evolve. It drives my bones.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being an artist is recognizing the goal is the journey. I played professional hockey. One day at a time with regards growing and evolving is the only way to get there. Instant gratification is not the elixir. Smart work is. That’s life!
