Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Max Weinman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Max, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I’ve just released my debut album self-titled “Max Weinman”. I spent years writing the songs on it. I started writing it when I was 16 and finished recording it at 20. The album means so much to me because well, it’s my first album, the songs come from such a vulnerable place. I’ve been dreaming of releasing this album for so long and now that dream has finally come true. All the hard work paid off. It truly is a labor of love.
Max, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I chose a music career because I felt that it was my calling. I began writing songs and learning covers at age 15 and I’d perform them at local venues and the feeling I got from that was unlike anything I’d ever felt before, and so I chose to run with it and keep pursuing my music because it’s what I truly believe in.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a singer is simply performing. Belting out your own songs to the audience and hearing their applause is such a rewarding feeling. It’s a high like no other.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I think when I started doing social media was definitely a point I had to pivot. I always thought it was lame for years until I decided that it was the only way to really get myself out there and it was the best decision I ever made. It’s very hard at times and I’m still learning everyday.
