Max, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard
One thing that sets us apart at Fox & Brand is our deeply personalized approach. We don’t believe in cookie-cutter solutions. For example, our client Pacific Stone SoCal, a kitchen remodel and countertop company, has a very edgy brand with a confident, “we’re the best” mentality. This approach wouldn’t work for most construction companies, but it fits them perfectly. Using a combination of video, social media, and paid ads, we’ve helped increase their average monthly revenue from $750k to $1.2 million. By understanding their unique voice and tailoring our strategy, we’ve made a significant impact on their business.
Even though Fox & Brand is a newer company, just 9 months old, many of our client relationships go back 5-7 years. These long-standing relationships are built on trust and mutual respect. We know our clients’ families, and we often share meals and experiences together. This deep connection allows us to truly understand their needs and deliver exceptional results.

My name is Max, and I’m the founder of Fox & Brand. My marketing journey began in the late ’90s, during the dial-up internet era. I was already building websites on platforms like Geocities and Angelfire, recognizing the potential of digital long before it became mainstream. This early start shaped my transition from a curious tinkerer to a marketing visionary, blending old-school wisdom with cutting-edge strategies.
At Fox & Brand, we specialize in bespoke website design, video and photography, targeted digital ads (Google PPC & Meta Ads), and creative design work (logos, flyers, print materials etc). We solve our clients’ problems by truly understanding their unique voices and crafting tailored strategies that resonate with their audiences. Our personalized approach and genuine relationships set us apart.
My background in construction has given us a unique perspective for marketing in the construction industry. While this isn’t our only focus, our expertise has spread through word of mouth, and we’ve naturally fallen into this niche. Our deep understanding of the industry’s challenges and opportunities allows us to create highly effective marketing strategies for construction companies.
Away from the digital screens, I’m surrounded by the love and laughter of my family. My wife and two daughters inspire me daily, reminding me of the importance of authenticity, passion, and building a lasting legacy.


What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
For us, referrals have been the cornerstone of our growth. We haven’t invested in traditional advertising; instead, our satisfied clients have become our greatest advocates. Their word-of-mouth recommendations have driven exponential growth, helping us build a strong and trusted reputation in the industry. This organic growth through referrals speaks volumes about the quality of our work and the strong relationships we cultivate with our clients.


How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I took a leap of faith to start Fox & Brand. At the time, I had a stable six-figure job but felt deeply unfulfilled. With a 10-month-old baby girl, a 12-year-old daughter, and a stay-at-home wife, the decision was daunting. While working full-time, I meticulously built the business plan, set up the LLC, designed our website, and laid the foundation. I quit my job with zero clients, and during my two-week notice, I landed our first big account—$7,500 MRR between two locations. This client remains with us today and has become a dear friend. The fear was real, but my supportive wife and unwavering faith carried me through this journey, proving that taking risks can lead to remarkable growth and fulfillment.
