Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Max Bronston. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Max, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
My wife and I took a trip out of town and saw a live band that played Neo-Soul music; a genre that was lacking in our area. When we got back home, I made some calls and put some musicians together and we came up with our own band, :Honeychild”.

Max, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
My name is Max Bronston, native of Cincinnati Ohio. I started my musical journey in college in my first group; a 4 man vocal group called Forte’. Next I joined a great cover band Called “The Subject Band”. That experience taught me the ropes on how a band should be run and how it should conduct itself. After being part of a few other projects, I decided to start my own band. I got tired of playing routine cover band songs and wanted to try something fresh. Honeychild is a group of experienced musicians and vocalist that share a common ideal to make people dance and have fun. Our clients always tell us that “it looks like you all are having so much fun up there” and that we have something for everyone. If we can’t have fun, why do it? Our first original single “My Kinda Night” is out on all major streaming services. We also have several T-shirts and merch available at our performance for sale.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
We built or reputation playing some different music than most of the other cover bands in our region. We started on more deep rooted and unique soul music. Due to request we added other genres and now have a vast repertoire of selections to play for any crowd from Frank Sinatra to Motown , to The Steve Miller band to Snoop Dogg.

Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
The best way to manage a team is to use everyone’s particular talent to it’s fullest potential and be open to new ideas.. The main component in morale building is to have fun at what your doing whenever possible. We make plenty of on stage mistakes on stage, but we laugh and keep it moving. You gotta have somewhat of some thick skin in our little group, but when we call something out, it’s cause we’re family and we care about our product and each other.
