Hi Maurisha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started nails over 5 years ago as a hobby and it turned into a career.
I worked for a few locations before becoming an independent contractor and then taking what I learned to open my business.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Nothing worth it is smooth. I struggled with little business knowledge when I first opened my salon.
Then of course there are social and economic trends to keep up with. I find the most difficult part is Having patience to see it through.

Live in Color Studio is more than a nail salon.
Our mission is to bring forth the family feeling of a small business. We are a unique nail salon that also serves as a community hub, hosting educational programs, workshops, and events to foster creativity and connection.
I love that we are for the people no matter the background.
We are always open to collaborate with other small businesses and creatives.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Communication is everything In the personal service industry.
I also know that customer service skills brings in and keeps our clients.
