We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Maurice Blackwell a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Maurice thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I knew in High School that I wanted to pursue a creative path because no jobs / career fields really didn’t interest me like the entertainment/ creative world did

Maurice , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I got into the creative / entertainment field in high school I started with music making beats / songs to fashion when I started my clothing , to starting a visual production company and now I do it all and mix them together

My production “Stoodvisions” aims to bring the visions of my clients to life anywhere from a music video for a client or commercial for a business

Foolsknow is the urban street wear company that provides stylish clothes at affordable prices

As a music artist I aim to spread positive messages about life in my music

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The ability to create something out of nothing and having other people enjoy / benefit from it

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I built my social media audience by showing them my creative journey step by step so they can see and feel the progress I’m making while I’m making it , my advice for people starting out is figure out what you wanna present to the world and do it !
