We were lucky to catch up with Matthew Vasquez recently and have shared our conversation below.

Matthew, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think it takes to be successful?

Before opening Envision Hall, I have always enjoyed motivational speakers, documentaries on successful business and business owners being interviewed. One of the common denominators that has stood out to me was having a unwavering belief in yourself and the business. As I have traveled this entrepreneurial journey, having total & complete belief in the business and my abilities is paramount! There have been so many times I have wanted to give up but the small voice inside says keep going. When I have a breakthrough or something goes completely according to plans (which does not always happen lol) then everything seems like it was all worth it.
Currently I am still working on my time management but this is also such a valuable skill to being successful. Their have been several occasions where you may want to do something else but it is more important to do what I need to do. We all get tired and/or need to spend time with our love ones but carving out that time to grow our business(s) will make our lives easier.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Matthew Vasquez and I am the owner of Envision Hall. Envision Hall/EH is a premium event space/venue in Winter Haven, FL. Deep inside I have always wanted to be a entrepreneur. Most of my working career has been in the sales field as I have always enjoyed speaking with people, resolving a issue they had and just the overall competitive nature of a sales team. After trying my hand at other endeavors I actually just stumbled on the event space business. The idea of a challenge I did not really consider before was exciting.
In the summer of 2022 I went to a weekend long Event Space conference. After the conference I came back home beyond excited about the possibilities. The very next weekend after the conference I began looking at vacant retail real estate that would be perfect venues.
EH can make anything you want possible! Besides the space & tables/chairs we can also provide a DJ for music, mobile bartending, event decorator, catering, photo booth and the list goes on! Bring your dreams to us and we will make them a reality.
A lot of our clients want Envision Hall to completely plan their event from décor, lighting, catering and so on. We enjoy that cause we are then able to help other small business owners along the way get business.
Personally for me I am most proud of building something from the ground up that can be left for my children. My children are proud of me and they are learning how to build their own business(es).
Our clients should know that they will be treated fairly & respectfully from the first conversation until after their event is held at Envision Hall and beyond. Listening to our clients needs and desires has made us a top event space/venue.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

This may sound almost too simple but it cannot be overlooked. Answering your business phone when it rings or calling potential clients back as soon as possible will boost your reputation. As a new business you need to speak with as many people as possible and if they are calling then half of work is already done for you. In this day and age of A.I., chat gpt, bots and so on, I have noticed people are pleasantly surprised to speak with a actual person.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Honestly I would have to say Google. I like to ask clients how did you find us and about 75% of the time we are found on google. So make sure all of your information, business hours, website, business phone number, deals/promotions and business photos are all current and updated on google.
