Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Matthew Tipold. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Matthew, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to go back in time and hear the story of how you came up with the name of your brand?

The story about how David J Redman and I came up with our companies name is a pretty simple one. We did what everyone does and just decided to combine our last names. It came pretty naturally and was the only idea that stuck. We didn’t really consider many other options and just went with our gut. To this day, I’m confident we made the right call.

Matthew, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Coming out of high school filmmaking was all I wanted to do, and luckily, my closest friend shared the same passion. We both attended the same University for film and decided to create our production company in our first year. We started to build a solid clientele, and after graduating we transitioned into working full-time on our business. We then started to take on larger productions on the music video side of the industry and have continued to build out our portfolio year after year.

What sets RedTip Productions apart from other production companies, is our visual aesthetic. At the end of the day, that is truly why people hire you. They want your voice.

We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.

I met my business partner, David J Redman, at a very young age. We grew up in a small town and attended the same elementary school. We were both aligned with our love for filmmaking, and decided to pursue it as a career by starting our own production company.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding part about being a filmmaker is the fulfillment you get from bringing stories to life. Being able to bring entertainment to someone else’s life through storytelling is a powerful opportunity.
