Hi Matthew Joseph, thanks for joining us today. How has Covid changed your business model?
Covid changed my business with people not wanting to leave their houses and have less money for studio time. We had to make mobile rigs and bring the studio to clients at their own houses with a lower cost then the studio rate.


Matthew Joseph, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am an audio engineer, photographer and COO of OYL Studios. I got in to the industry through my internship while i was in college, I intern at a private studio which only did business with major labels and major artist so the opportunity was there. My business provides all your digital media needs, from studio recording, mixing, mastering, photography, videography, podcast and venue space for events. We solved the major issues that artist get from looking all over the city to find spaces to recorded, shot a video, we just give them a space that has it all. I lost proud how much we grew into, from just one studio to whole creative compound.



Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?
I meet my business partner through a student that I went to college with and began to work with him. Then we had discussion on building and keep pushing to where we are now.



Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
The thing I think that help me build reputation within my market is my hustle and drive. At the beginning I was at all the events, open mic, art shows just to meet people and get my name out. An being at those events it showed support to clients an future clients.
