Hi, I’m Matteo Martignago. I’m originally from Rome, Italy, and I’m currently working as a Director of Photography based in Los Angeles. My journey wasn’t exactly straightforward—I initially studied Business Management at Luiss University in Rome, but soon realized filmmaking and visual storytelling were where my heart truly was. After completing a two-year filmmaking program in Italy, I moved to LA to pursue my Master’s Degree in Cinematography.

Today, alongside my work shooting narratives and commercials, I’ve created Artistic Hive, an educational platform designed to bridge the gap between formal education and online learning. Our goal is to offer students in-depth, practical courses taught by industry veterans who share their personal methods, workflows, and insights gained from years of experience. I’m incredibly proud of the community we’re building, where aspiring filmmakers and artists can truly thrive by learning directly from professionals who live and breathe the industry every day.
