We were lucky to catch up with Matt Zions recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Matt, thanks for joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I wanted to create a coffee that uses premium beans and infuses them with custom flavors. The world is full of amazing high end coffee beans and using them to craft amazing artisanal creations sounds amazing to me. We also wanted to create a company that gives back so we formed a partnership to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Every time we sell a bag we donate a portion to them.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
We started with one artisanal coffee, Bourbon Chocolate Chip. We take a specialty grade Brazilian coffee bean and infuse it with amazing custom Bourbon & Chocolate flavors. We then added a Toasted Coconut Rum coffee that we use a high altitude honduran bean that compliments the tropical flavors by being naturally sweet and light. Recently we added a new collection called our Global Gourmet Series where we find gourmet beans from around the world. But we don’t just have coffee. We have amazing Rum Cakes and our merchandise is cutting edge.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
We don’t stop. Everything we do we know we can improve on and we do that daily. We like to say we’re relentless but we are willing to work hard to come up with the perfect creations, coffees, and products.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Post often and post content people want to see. Be creative and follow people that have the same interests as your product.
