We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Matt Messore. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Matt below.
Matt, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
My most meaningful project is my current music projects (Cathedral Bells & Midi Memory). I’m very grateful to have these projects to keep me staying productive and creating music. I’m lucky to have an audience of listeners & it motivates me to write and keep going.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Matthew Messore and I’ve been doing music most of my life. I have been playing music in bands and touring since the early 2000s and have gotten to experience many highs and lows. I got into the music industry because I have a passion for playlist music and it always has stuck with me as my top priority to perform and record music. I started touring in a punk band in high school and from there it lead me to touring nationally and experiencing first hand on the road. From there, I developed my lifestyle and devotion to music. Eventually I started new projects and it has brought me to where I am today. I’m not able to focus on music as my career
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding thing to being an artist is getting to hear from a listener’s point of view. When someone reaches out and shares their attachment to your work, it’s very motivating and inspiring to hear & keeps me to continue to make music for the connections of communication through people
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I try to share my content with visuals and media that represent the music I make. The best way to do that is to really understand what you’re doing and try to be deep and honest through your work. I would make a time line of content to share from the time frame of the release. If you build an audience with your content, you eventually make a theme of what you want your audience to see you represented as
