We recently connected with Matt Gasimzade and have shared our conversation below.
Matt, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
My journey as an immigrant has shaped my mission in profound ways. When I first came to the U.S., I had to navigate the complexities of immigration, work multiple jobs, and make difficult decisions to build a successful future. Today, I am proud to be a key member of my department in a Norwegian-based scale-up company and to run my own business as an immigration consultant and public notary.
The mission behind my work is simple yet deeply personal: to ensure that anyone coming to the U.S. gets truthful, well-informed guidance on their immigration options. Over the years, I’ve witnessed how misinformation, fear, and uncertainty can hinder people’s ability to build stable lives. I didn’t just want to succeed for myself—I wanted to create a path where others could make informed choices, avoid pitfalls, and ultimately thrive as immigrants.
This mission is meaningful to me because I know firsthand what it takes to turn struggles into success. I’ve worked hard to get where I am, and I believe that knowledge and the right decisions can transform an immigrant’s journey. That’s why I’ve dedicated my time to assisting 650+ individuals in securing their documents, guiding them through complex legal processes, and empowering them to build brighter futures.
At its core, my work isn’t just about paperwork—it’s about giving people hope, clarity, and the confidence to embrace new opportunities. Seeing others succeed because they had access to the right information fuels my passion every day. I want to continue making a difference, ensuring that every immigrant I help has a fair chance at success, just like I did.

Matt, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Matt Gasimzade, and I wear multiple hats—an IT Manager in a Norwegian-based scale-up company, an immigration consultant, and a public notary. My story is one of resilience, hard work, and a strong desire to help others succeed.
I came to the U.S. as an immigrant and, like many others, faced the challenges of navigating a complex immigration system, securing stable employment, and building a future from the ground up. At one point, I was working two to three jobs simultaneously to make ends meet, determined to carve a path for myself. Through dedication, perseverance, and strategic decision-making, I was able to achieve success—first in my career as an IT professional and later as an entrepreneur helping others in their immigration journey.
Today, I am a key member of my company’s IT department, working in a high-growth tech environment, while also running my own business where I have helped 650+ people obtain their documents and navigate the U.S. immigration system with accurate, truthful information.
In IT, I manage and optimize technology operations within a fast-paced, innovative environment. My expertise in scaling IT infrastructure and implementing efficient solutions helps my company grow and stay ahead in the competitive tech landscape.
In Immigration Consulting, I provide notary services, visa assistance, and consulting on various U.S. immigration pathways, ensuring that individuals have the correct and most truthful information to make informed decisions. Many immigrants face misinformation, predatory services, and bureaucratic hurdles that make their journey stressful and uncertain. My goal is to cut through the confusion, offer clear, honest guidance, and help people successfully navigate their immigration processes.
I take immense pride in knowing that my work changes lives. Whether it’s seeing an immigrant secure their first legal job in the U.S., helping a family reunite, or assisting an entrepreneur in obtaining the right visa to launch their business, every success story reinforces my mission.
I’m also proud of my personal journey—from working multiple jobs to now running a business that helps others while excelling in my corporate role. My story is proof that with the right information, hard work, and perseverance, immigrants can thrive.
If you are an immigrant in the U.S. (or planning to come), I want you to know:
You are not alone. There’s a path forward for every situation.
Truth matters. Getting accurate immigration information can make or break your journey.
Success is possible. I’ve been where you are, and I’m here to help you make informed decisions that set you up for success.
Whether you need notary services, immigration consulting, or guidance on U.S. visa processes, my mission is to equip you with the right tools and knowledge to succeed.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Growing my clientele as an immigration consultant and public notary has been a journey built on trust, transparency, and genuine impact. Unlike traditional businesses that rely heavily on paid marketing, my growth has come primarily from word-of-mouth referrals, community engagement, and a commitment to delivering real results.
The most powerful strategy has been delivering honest, high-quality service that clients want to recommend to others. Immigration is a deeply personal and often stressful process, so when someone finds a consultant who is trustworthy and knowledgeable, they naturally share their experience with friends and family.
I have helped 650+ people with their documents, and many of my new clients come directly from previous clients’ recommendations.
When people experience accurate information, clear guidance, and successful results, they become ambassadors for my business.
Building relationships within immigrant communities has been another key strategy.
I actively participate in immigrant forums, cultural events, and online groups where people seek information about visas, work permits, and legal documents.
By offering free guidance and answering common questions, I establish credibility, and people naturally seek my services when they need more in-depth assistance.
While my business grew mainly through referrals, I also use social media and online platforms to expand my reach:
LinkedIn & Facebook Groups: Engaging in discussions about immigration processes and sharing insights.
WhatsApp & Telegram Groups: Many immigrants rely on messaging groups for information, and I provide valuable input where needed.
Google Reviews & Testimonials: Encouraging satisfied clients to leave reviews has increased credibility and visibility.
The most effective strategy for growth isn’t just about marketing—it’s about building trust, delivering value, and treating each client with integrity. When you genuinely help people and put their needs first, success follows naturally.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
While working in IT, I started helping immigrants navigate their legal documentation processes on the side—just as a way to assist people who were struggling like I once did. What started as small favors turned into something bigger:
People kept coming to me for advice.
I saw firsthand how misinformation was harming immigrants.
I realized that truthful guidance could change lives.
At first, I saw my consulting work as a side hustle, but over time, I recognized that this was just as meaningful (if not more) than my IT career. I had to unlearn the idea that success only comes from climbing the corporate ladder—it can also come from entrepreneurship, helping others, and building something of your own.
Success is not one-size-fits-all. There are many paths, and the “right” one is the one that aligns with your values and impact.
Your past struggles can shape your mission. I used my own immigrant experience to create a business that helps others.
Diversifying your career can be a strength. I now balance a corporate IT career with my own thriving immigration consulting business, serving 650+ people so far.
I had to unlearn the mindset that security comes from one path alone. Today, I find fulfillment not just in my IT career but in the impact I create through helping others succeed in their immigration journeys. The best part? I didn’t have to choose one or the other—I built both.
