Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Mary Treen. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Mary, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

This is a great question! The thriving career I have now results from a life-changing risk, followed by many small risks – the risks I took meant that there was no certainty, evidence or guarantee that anything would work out. The only clarity I had was listening to the language of my intuition.

Before I found my soul work as an Intuitive Guide, Energy Healer & Meditation Teacher. I had found success in the corporate world but at a steep cost.

Neglecting my well-being, creativity, and true needs left me grappling with anxiety, frustration, and a nagging sense of dissatisfaction. I yearned to find my purpose but my search often seemed hopeless, and I wondered if I would ever find it. I was in my early 30’s asking myself each day, ‘Is that all there is?’

It took a heart-wrenching divorce, corporate burnout and a seemingly never-ending dark night of the soul to make me realize I couldn’t find the light alone. So, I reached out for healing support. Through my healing journey, I discovered that there was a calling for me to remember from within.

As I reconnected with my empathic and intuitive gifts, it led me to train in the intuitive and healing arts. I started to see a fresh clarity about how I truly wanted to live my life. Except, there was one thing standing in my way. Fear.

I had so much fear standing in the way. Fear clouded my vision and paralyzed me from taking the risk to leave the corporate world behind and start my own intuitive business.

After a few years of living in fear and not finding the right time to leap – I was approaching 40 and I knew I would always regret it if I didn’t bet on myself and at least try.

So, I finally went for it. I said goodbye to my stable 9-5 and took the biggest risk of my life. I was terrified but as many have said before me, I did it scared.

I flew into the unknown, into a spiritual soul-led career that is not mainstream and hard to define. But I followed my heart.

I started offering my unique blend of intuitive energy healing and I found clients around the world waiting to be supported. The results they experienced – emotionally, physically & spiritually were impossible to deny. I was amazed at how much my work helped people in so many different ways.

In 2021, I started a podcast called ‘Intuitive Seek,’ a grounded approach to all things intuition. Which even hit the top charts on apple podcasts in spirituality in Canada and Australia!

I host free live events as a meditation teacher on Insight Timer. I continue to learn and grow my intuitive healing practice. It still feels like just the beginning and I am so grateful for the risk I took. Life is too short to live someone else’s dream and I am so happy that I finally committed to remember, create and realize my own.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?

The most effective strategy I have found to grow your clientele is by referral. My business has grown through word of mouth. This means that I have focused on the service and individual care I offer – I treat each client with deep care, integrity and respect. I treat them as I would wish to be treated.

In the beginning, I didn’t move to automate anything too quickly. I sent personal reminders for sessions, I checked in after each client’s experience and I stayed open to anything I needed to change based on their needs.

Now, I do receive new clientele through my podcast audience and my Insight Timer events, but the care and attention to detail I offer continue to this day.

I maintain the focus on my ‘why’ and my intention for my business. I believe that this has brought me the success I have received. Focus on the clients you have today and they will bring you the clients for tomorrow.

Putting training and knowledge aside, what else do you think really matters in terms of succeeding in your field?

A few of the most helpful things for succeeding in my field are understanding the language of my intuition so that I can follow the guidance and wisdom I carry within.

To know the difference between my fear, anxiety and my intuitive pulls.
This helps me take action on my intuitive inspirations – even when my mind is telling me it’s not a good idea.

Listening to my intuition has led me to every success I have experienced in my career. Everyone has the ability to follow the unique language of their intuition. I hope anyone reading this understands that,
